(haipo) – Coastal District police officers from the Zevulun station acted to issue a closure order until the end of the proceedings for a business where an illegal gambling house was discovered in Haifa.
The police told Lai Pa:
As part of the Coastal District Police's ongoing fight against illegal gambling houses, Zevulun police officers worked to expose a business that was serving as an underground gambling house on Histadrut Boulevard in Kiryat Haim.
After a focused operational activity, the station's officers arrived at the scene and uncovered the illegal gambling activity that was taking place there. Following the investigation conducted at the Zevulun Station, in cooperation with officers from the Coast District Licensing Department, an administrative closure order for 30 days was initially issued by the district commander.
Now, in accordance with the court's decision and following the investigation proceedings, a judicial closure order has been issued for the business until the end of the proceedings.
The Israel Police will continue to operate with zero tolerance towards criminal elements who operate illegal gambling houses, which constitute a breeding ground for economic crime and other offenses that harm public security.
I personally reported places like this to the police that I knew from an ex-partner. I called at every opportunity. They didn't do anything.
