Nesher police officers arrested a young man driving a bulletproof vehicle during an enforcement operation in the city. In addition, 25 NIS in cash, suspected to be funds obtained through criminal activity, was seized from the driver of the vehicle, a 65,000-year-old Nesher resident.
The driver, a resident of Nesher as mentioned, was identified by the police as the son of a man known to the police as involved in criminal offenses. The young man was arrested and brought to the police station for questioning.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and the money was seized. Police are now considering the possibility of confiscation as part of their economic enforcement efforts in the fight against crime.
The Israel Police stated that it will continue to act decisively against criminals who operate armored vehicles illegally, pose a danger to road users, and serve as a central tool for serious criminal activity.
Looks like an illegally protected SUV. The off-road improvement workshops in Israel allow things like this to be done to SUVs.
Send the car to be scrapped and the young man to be put on leave while in detention.
Kudos to the police.
