Coastal District police from the Acre station uncovered a drug production laboratory in Kiryat Ata, where hundreds of seedlings and materials suspected of being cannabis weighing approximately 60 kilograms were seized. Three suspects, residents of Acre, were arrested for questioning at the station, and were subsequently imprisoned.
As part of the uncompromising fight that the Israel Police is waging against the scourge of drugs, with an emphasis on growing and trafficking that endangers public safety, the police officers of the Acre station in the Asher area of the Hof district, in cooperation with the Detective, Asher Police, the Tsasm and the Kalvan, conducted proactive and focused activity against these offenses. As part of the activity, the police officers uncovered, pursuant to a search warrant, a drug laboratory containing 141 seedlings weighing a total of 58 kg, suspected of being cannabis grown under laboratory conditions in Kiryat Ata.
As mentioned, the police arrested three suspects in the operation of the laboratory, residents of Acre, for questioning, and at the end they were imprisoned. Depending on the needs of the investigation and its findings, the police will request an extension of their detention in court. All findings were transferred to the Israel Police's forensic laboratories for evidence extraction.
