As March approaches, joy abounds! Haifa museums offer a variety of activities, workshops, and guided tours throughout the month of March.
Digital game at the Tikotin Museum, performances for toddlers combined with a craft workshop, making costume accessories from cardboard, pirate happenings, Japanese craft workshops and more.
At the Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art A new exhibition, entitled "The Wave Effect," recently opened. The exhibition includes 80 works of art in a variety of mediums, by Japanese and Israeli artists, that correspond to the famous work "The Great Wave" by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. As part of the visit experience, children can enjoy a digital game that can be played on a mobile phone. According to Japanese tradition, there are 8 million gods found in nature, not all of them good, some of them demons called oni, who are responsible for threats and dangers. The goal of the game is to banish the oni by collecting blessing symbols and placing the works on a map of Japan. The game includes puzzles and tasks and is suitable for children ages 5 and up.

In addition, during the month, several creative workshops will be held at the Tikotin Museum: a kimono-wearing doll workshop, a Japanese kokeshi doll workshop, a bento box workshop for meal delivery, and a Japanese Den Den drum workshop.
The Haifa Museum of Art will once again host the successful Cartonage workshop this year – a workshop that invites everyone, of any age, to make Purim costume accessories from cardboard and other materials. In addition, thanks to a collaboration between Haifa Museums and the Haifa Theater, combined activities for little ones will take place this month – a performance in the museum’s auditorium followed by an active space for play and creativity in the Makom Art Greenhouse building, adjacent to the museum. Also, in preparation for the upcoming Passover holiday, two unique workshops will be held working with clay – making a Passover plate and making an Aviv bowl.

at the National Maritime Museum A pirate happening will be held in honor of Purim on Friday, March 14.3.25, XNUMX. The happening will include "Treasure Hunt" training, a pirate-themed craft and game station complex, an artistic face makeup corner, a costume and photography corner, and more.

At the Haifa City Museum There will be a special city story meeting for Purim, which will include story time and the creation of a booklet with funny and surprising characters.
Adina Perlman Vardi, Director of Education at Haifa Museums:
"One of the goals we set for ourselves this year is to create quality workshops and activities for a wide range of audiences, which is why most of the workshops are also held in Arabic and Russian. The activities are tailored for family entertainment for all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, and all at very affordable prices."
Well done to the museums of Haifa. Good night and welcome.
