(haipo) – The streets in Kiryat Sefer, around Givon and Ayalon streets, suffer from serious hazards, with residents claiming that they have been dealing with potholes and potholes for years, without receiving an appropriate response from the municipality.
Residents in the area describe a difficult and ongoing feeling of not being answered, and in desperation they turned to the system. haipo Hopefully, if the issue receives public attention, it may finally be addressed.
According to the residents, they have been contacting the municipality about the issue for many years, but each time they have been told that the cause of the problems is the tree roots. "So what if it's tree roots? What's the problem with taking care of them and fixing the problems?" one of them asks angrily.

The lack of response from the municipality has led to a situation where the roads are in poor condition, with asphalt protruding above the pavement due to roots. The damage is not limited to the sidewalks alone, but also affects the roads, endangering the safety of residents.
The ongoing situation creates a sense of neglect among the residents of the area, who realize that the municipality is not taking sufficient steps to solve the problem. They are not giving up, but they certainly feel that they are left alone in the struggle to repair the damage caused by the influence of the roots.
The Haifa Municipality responded: "As we have stated several times in the past: The municipality's management is aware of the condition of the city's roads and sidewalks and has therefore instructed the preparation of a rehabilitation plan for the city's roads at a total cost of tens of millions of shekels. Since it is not possible to rehabilitate all of the city's roads at the same time, the municipality is working to rehabilitate the streets according to a regulated work plan that is carried out according to the priorities and budgetary limitations within which the municipality operates.
Within this framework, since the municipality's administration took office, many roads in all neighborhoods of the city have been renovated at a total cost of approximately 25 million NIS. As was done in all of these, it will also be done in the future on the streets indicated in the question that are included in the municipality's multi-year work plan. In the first stage, partial renovation of the road and sidewalk will be carried out in the sections that were damaged as a result of tree roots."

Also endless dog poop on the streets. You pay Zurich property taxes and feel like you're in Gaza.
I'm not sure I understand, Masada Street for example: There are still the trenches there that were dug in the early 1990s (!) for the cable infrastructure of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Municipality. Every winter, new potholes open up after the rain, each time another tiny patch of tar is added, and nothing really changes. When will Masada be repaired from the ground up? But, what I really didn't understand - why are roads in relatively good and proper condition given priority because someone from the municipality happens to live nearby and drive there every day?
Wait "patiently" - the municipality has its own "priority orders". First, fill the cash register with reports.
Parking and I'll have to plug the holes sometime somewhere.
This is what we chose, this is what we got!
It is not true that the municipality does not take into account,
I appeal a lot about many dangers,
It's not the municipality, but contractors who work for it,
The municipality and the hotline receive the complaints, and they refer them to the contractors,
And as soon as the contractors notify the municipality that the hazard has been addressed, the hotline sends a message to the person notifying the hazard, and closes the case.
It is the duty of all residents to report any nuisance to the municipality, and it is preferable to send photographs.
And there is also WhatsApp,
There are public inquiries,
And once the victim has not been treated properly, it is the residents' duty to call and notify the hotline.
Most departments in the Haifa Municipality function well.
I am not defending anyone,
I say this from experience, in front of the municipality's call center and public inquiries in Haifa.
Because it's the Carmel, they don't care! If it was in Kiryat Haim, they would have dealt with the threats a long time ago!!
The Haifa Municipality is carrying out "band-aid" treatments, as is done on Givon Street. They spread tar on some pothole and it seems to them that they have solved the problem.
Driving on Little Givon Street – which has become "Burma Road" when the vehicle and its passengers are extremely shaken.
Irit, do your job faithfully!!!!
I have no idea which contractor works with the municipality, but he just spreads tar and says it's asphalt. It's impossible that asphalt wears off after a short period of time. Plus, all the money goes to new cars that drive around the city in pairs. The road sweepers also don't do anything except talk on their cell phones. Shame on you.
Come on…the contractor receives according to the package, sorry, let's say 1000 NIS per meter…he buys the cheapest material. The contractors approve it and then at the time of payment he transfers some to them in cash…everyone knows…like for example, but sometimes you won't see reports at the beginning of Allenby Street in the middle of the wadi…why…the contractor will understand
Maybe it's worth getting to the root of the problem. Old trees fall on cars. Tree roots are a source of danger to pedestrians. Both from above and below.
A few small cracks are really small.
There are much worse streets for the municipality to handle.
What's more, heavy trucks from TAMA 38 continue to destroy sidewalks and roads in neighborhoods, so there's no point in paving.
But they don't thin the trees either. The roots reach all the way to my bedroom. The municipality is ripe and in order. They collect our property taxes by force and foreclosures.
A municipality of patches upon patches.
The headline ignores the municipality's response.
As usual, they slander without regard to the facts.
Because the municipality regularly lies in its responses. Corruption in the Haifa municipality is skyrocketing. It's all connections with contractors, half-hearted work everywhere, and stories for the citizen.
A municipality is run according to the level of senility of those standing, sitting, or sleeping on their feet.
