The cruise takes place every year near the day the submarine was found - May 28. More than 1000 sailors in dozens of sailing vessels are expected to participate in the cruise, including family members of the fallen, soldiers of the submarine fleet and the navy in the past and present, members of sailing clubs and maritime associations, maritime schools and a wide audience of sailors.
The cruise will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a ceremony of throwing wreaths into the sea from the Dolphin submarine near the Haifa port.
The ceremony will be attended by: Haifa mayor Yona Yahav, commander of the submarine fleet, chairman of the "Dolphin" association (submarine fleet veterans), the families of the astronauts and many sailors.
At 11:00 a.m. the popular cruise will be launched, along with the competitive cruise.
At 14:00 a memorial mask in memory of the martyrs of the Dakar and a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the competitive cruise in Kishon Park near Shavit anchorage (Haifa Marina).

The submarine was left in place. The command bridge was brought ashore and placed in the Maritime Museum in Haifa.
