(haipo) – An accident between two trucks occurred this morning, Wednesday, 19/2/25, at first light, between Atlit and Haifa. Traffic congestion in the area. It is recommended to follow updates on WAZE and look for faster routes, for example via Highway 4.

A short time ago, firefighters from the Haifa station, under the command of Reshef Guy Rosen, responded to a traffic accident between two trucks on the southbound coastal road, just north of the Atlit Interchange.
The fighters worked to stabilize the trucks (one of them had overturned on its side), disconnect energy sources, and clear the scene.
Medical officials evacuated both drivers for further treatment at the hospital, with their condition described as moderate.
From MDA, it was delivered to Lai Pa:
At 05:32, a report was received at the MDA 101 hotline in the Carmel area, about a road accident between 2 trucks, on Highway 2 South, south of the rowers. MDA medics and paramedics are providing medical treatment and referring 2 injured people to Rambam Hospital, including: a 24-year-old man in serious condition, with multiple systemic injuries, and a 30-year-old man in moderate condition, with injuries to his limbs and dry wounds.

Since the beginning of the year: 62 deaths on the roads – compared to 50 during the same period in 2024
Since the beginning of the year: 58 fatal accidents – compared to 46 in the same period in 2024
The roads have become a killing field.
Where is the cry??
This madness must stop.
If they examine how many trucks are involved in all accidents, the percentage is very high. The police must be municipal and check the driver's licenses of truck drivers.
The problem is not the drivers themselves, it's the system that pushes them to take more risks... Although in some accidents, and this part is quite large, the one at fault is the shipper of the cargo and not the driver, but they never check that...
