Ministry of Health: The closure order for the "Kame" confectionery in Kiryat Motzkin has been canceled
After meeting the Ministry of Health's requirements, the administrative closure order for the "Kamea" confectionery at 84 Ben Gurion Street, Kiryat Motzkin (Ravamad Commercial Center) was canceled.
The order, issued on February 12, 2025, was lifted following an inspection conducted on February 19 by food service inspectors, which found that the significant deficiencies in the business had been addressed. As part of the inspection, products were destroyed in accordance with a previous order, and cleaning work was documented for the freezers on the gallery floor, which resulted in the removal of the public health hazard.
However, the Ministry of Health emphasizes that the cancellation of the order does not constitute approval for a business license., and the owners of the premises must work to complete the regulatory process. They must also continue to address additional remaining deficiencies, as detailed in the audit reports of January 30 and February 19, 2025, including adapting the business's services to the requirements of the law.
The original news from Sunday 16/2/25
The Ministry of Health has issued an administrative stop order to the "Kame" Confectionery, at 84 Ben Gurion Street in Kiryat Motzkin, following a series of serious deficiencies discovered at the location during inspections conducted by the District Food Service Inspectors. The order requires the business to close immediately and cease all activity, including receiving and issuing merchandise and providing customer service.
Defects that pose a risk to public health
The order was issued following an inspection conducted on January 30, 2025, which found products of unknown origin, a lack of required labeling on packaged products, including expiration dates and ingredient lists, as well as poor sanitary conditions in the business, which included dirty equipment, rust, and signs of mold.
Following the findings, the owners of the confectionery were summoned to a hearing scheduled for January 31, 2025, but chose not to appear and only sent a written statement, in which they stated that they had removed the problematic products and pledged to ensure that they only purchase products from approved suppliers.
Despite the commitments – the deficiencies continued
Following the statements, the owners of the confectionery were given the opportunity to correct the deficiencies, while meeting strict conditions, including presenting references to contracts with authorized suppliers and improving the level of hygiene in the business. However, a repeat inspection conducted on February 12, 2025, again found products of unknown origin, baked goods that were misleadingly marketed as "no added sugar", poor or missing labeling of products, and poor maintenance.
In addition, it was found that some of the products seized in a previous detention order, which the business owners were prohibited from selling, were again offered for sale - a serious violation of the seizure and detention orders.
Immediate closure and severe punishment
In light of the repeated violations and the health risk, it was decided to issue an administrative closure order for the business, which took effect immediately. It was also decided to apply to the local authority for the cancellation of the business license. At the same time, the Israel Police were instructed to ensure the enforcement of the order and prevent the business from continuing to operate in violation of the law.
According to the Business Licensing Law, business owners may appeal to the Local Court to have the order overturned, but until a different decision is made, the order will remain in effect. Violating the cease-and-desist order may result in a sentence of up to 18 months in prison.
The Ministry of Health emphasizes that enforcement of sanitation laws is intended primarily to protect public health, and calls on business owners in the food industry to ensure full compliance with the requirements of the law.
Where are the police 👮 on this issue? Where?
I will not enter a place he allowed himself to enter again, in my opinion he has proven that he cannot be trusted.
What and why about goods found from an unknown source? It would be fine if it were said that the goods had undergone laboratory testing and that they would cause illness, but because there was no reason to close a business that supports several families, shame on you and all the commenters, shame on you. You read and don't understand what is written.
I didn't understand what the noise and all the repulsive talk of the commenters was about. The Ministry of Health found goods from an unknown source. If it had been said that the goods were tested in a laboratory and they were spoiled, that would have been fine. But because of the lack of labeling of the origin of the cake, you will close the livelihood of several families. You will be ashamed, and those who comment will be even more ashamed because you have no idea what and why.
Check out Shilat Bakery in Kiryat Haim. Last time I was there, I saw a lot of rust on the equipment that goes in and out of the oven, in addition to spraying water from a garden hose on all the pastries that come out of the oven. I think it's very unhygienic and I would be happy to inspect it.
First of all, I am not surprised since it is clear to me that there is no connection between hygiene and kosher, and therefore, for the sake of your health, come eat on Shabbat and holidays in places without kosher.
We deserve severe and uncompromising punishment!
Every day we read about restaurant closures,
Cafes and patisseries that do not meet the required sanitary conditions!
What interests them is the money. Also in the US
Public health.
Apparently, until there is a case of mass and dangerous poisoning, they will continue to treat
With forgiveness for such cases.
So what will happen? Businesses in Haifa and the Krayots can no longer be trusted.
Why is this response like this?
There are excellent patisseries in the area.
His name, Otmazgin, Shaked, and more.
It's easiest to slander the Krayots.

Eating out these days is dangerous. Have a good week.
Eating out today is dangerous, and especially disgusting to think about what is being served on our plates. Restaurateurs are shooting themselves in the foot with their own hands. Afterwards they will boast about how dangerous they are..
