(Hai Pa) – During an enforcement operation conducted by Coastal District police, 12 environmental reports were recorded in the amount of 10,500 NIS and 15 traffic reports in the amount of 3,750 NIS.
The police told Hai Pa News Corporation:
Coastal District Police from Nesher Station, together with civil authorities, carried out extensive enforcement in Dalit El Carmel and Aspia. 12 environmental reports were recorded in the amount of 10,500 NIS and 15 traffic reports in the amount of 3,750 NIS. Coastal District Police from Nesher Station fight against environmental pollution - an extensive enforcement operation led to dozens of reports in the total amount of over 14,000 NIS against polluting businesses and unruly practices in Carmel.
During a large-scale joint enforcement operation in the Carmel Range, police forces and enforcement units raided businesses suspected of serious environmental pollution and illegal waste dumping.
The focus of the operation: garages, tire shops, supermarkets and junkyards
The activity, in which the Coast District Environmental Protection Volunteer Units and the National Headquarters participated in cooperation with the Daliyat Al-Karmel Municipal Police, included searches of businesses and open areas, which led to the arrest of serious offenses against the environment.

Garage suspected of serious soil contamination
Numerous environmental deficiencies were discovered at this garage, including soil contamination from used oil. A hefty fine of NIS 3,000 was issued against the business owner, as well as two additional fines of NIS 250 each for throwing cigarettes during the inspection.
Vehicle towing business – without a license and severe environmental pollution
Illegal activity of an unauthorized garage was found in a towing lot, as well as an occupied public area with approximately 50 scrap cars and severe soil contamination. Reports totaling NIS 5,000 were filed against the business owner for various offenses.
- Lumberyard and carpentry shop – dumping large amounts of waste into the public domain, report in the amount of 1,000 NIS.
- Supermarket in Usfiya – dumping waste on the road, report of 500 NIS.
- Flat tires in Usfiya – hundreds of tires were thrown outside businesses, each business owner was fined 500 NIS.
Extensive enforcement also on the roads – noisy vehicles and reports for abusive drivers
During the operation, two vehicles that were making loud noises from the exhaust system were stopped, and each of the drivers was fined 250 NIS. In addition, Daliyat al-Carmel municipal police inspectors recorded 15 reports of road rage offenses.

That's why they report these measly amounts.
It pays to be a criminal in Dalia and Asfia
In disgrace to the authorities who asked for the reports, if this had been in a Jewish area it would have ended up with reports of hundreds of thousands of shekels per report, not a thousand shekels.

Congratulations on the blessed implementation. Happy and blessed Shabbat.
Ridiculous reports with absurd amounts relative to the damage caused... That's what should have been written in the article's title. After all, just clearing the waste costs more.
Congratulations on the commendable enforcement 💪
