Carmel Medical Center continues to lead cardiac care in Israel with the inauguration of the third and most advanced catheterization room in the north. The new catheterization room, with an investment of more than NIS 14 million, sets a new standard of quality and professionalism in cardiac care in Israel.
Leaders in excellence and innovation:
The Carmel Catheterization Unit is headed by Prof. Ronen Yaffe, one of the leading cardiac catheterization specialists in Israel, known for his extensive experience and exceptional abilities in performing complex catheterizations. The Carmel Catheterization Unit performs over 2,000 catheterizations each year, and offers medical solutions for the most challenging cases that come to it from all over the country. In addition, the unit specializes in treating particularly complex conditions, including rare cases for which no solutions have been found in other centers. "The entry of the third catheterization room into Carmel is a significant force multiplier for the entire region," says Prof. Yaffe. "The new additional room will allow us to treat more efficiently and save the lives of many more patients. Furthermore, the room is equipped with the latest technologies in the world that enable optimal patient care."

Advanced technology to save lives
Carmel's catheterization unit is known for using the most advanced technologies, allowing for rare and complex catheterizations. The latest technologies include real-time 3D imaging, tiny diamond-coated tools for drilling and breaking up difficult blockages, and minimally invasive methods that allow for faster patient recovery. With its skilled staff and sophisticated equipment, the unit continues to set new standards in cardiology care.
An integral part of Carmel's heart system:
A leading element in the cardiology system is the electrophysiology unit, under the direction of Dr. Jorge Schliemaser, and a central part of the activity of the third catheterization room will be used for the benefit of the unit's treatments. Carmel's electrophysiology unit excels in advanced treatments for cardiac arrhythmias, in the implantation of new-generation pacemakers, and is a leader in all matters related to innovation and advanced treatments at the highest level.

The wholehearted heart arrangement:
Carmel's cardiac unit, under the direction of Professor Avinoam Shiran, is considered one of the leading units in Israel. The unit includes a large and outstanding inpatient department, a cardiac intensive care unit, a catheterization unit, an echo unit, and an electrophysiology unit. "Our dedicated and professional team of doctors, nurses, and fellow physicians work together to ensure the highest level of care for each patient," emphasizes Professor Shiran. "We are here for our patients with all our hearts. The entire unit operates in optimal synchronization, and each unit supports the other to create a holistic and effective care system."
A promise for the future of the heart in the North
The new catheterization room with the Philips AZURION 7 device is not only an infrastructural upgrade but also a promise of continuous improvement in treatment capabilities. Carmel's vision is to continue to lead the field of cardiac medicine in the north, and to provide patients with the highest quality and most advanced treatment in Israel. "We strive to make Carmel a leading cardiology center not only in the north, but also at the national level," adds Professor Shiran.
Strong engineering
Hospital engineer Assi Shefa, who led the project at the engineering level under the management of the hospital's administrative director Dori Bejarno, reports that the complex project included laying central infrastructure, building a third catheterization room, replacing old electrical and medical gas infrastructure, and adding an advanced catheterization device from Philips. As part of the project, the catheterization institute's main electrical panel was replaced and a central UPS system was added that ensures functional continuity and a high level of safety for the hospital's patients. The entire project was managed by the hospital's maintenance and engineering department in collaboration with Yiftach Rosi, the logistics manager responsible for purchasing the device, and it took one year and four months.
The director of the cardiology department at Carmel, Prof. Shiran, concludes and says, "Thanks to the uncompromising commitment of the medical teams and the constant investment in technology and innovation, Carmel continues to lead cardiac medicine in Israel, and to be a beacon of light and hope for thousands of patients every year."

Great honor for completing the new Centurion Room project with advanced technology. A.M. International Consulting Engineers Ltd. is proud of the result and the investment in designing the air conditioning systems for the facility.
I underwent catheterization by Professor Ronen Yaffe and the entire department is excellent and professional, and I wish them success in saving human lives.
As long-time "clients" of the department, both my wife and I received exceptional professional and humane care. Especially Professor Ronen Yaffe, Professor Fliegelman, and the excellent management of Professor Shiran. Kudos to all the doctors, nurses, and brothers of the department.
The Electrophysiology Department at Carmel is a different kind of department.
Dr. Schleimasser is an angel in the full sense of the word.
Any words I write will not accurately reflect the extent of my gratitude to the aforementioned team.
May all the good in the world be yours. Amen.

Excellent class.
Dr. Amnon Eitan catheterized my husband.
There is nothing about him or the other doctors, brothers and sisters. What professionalism, what empathy
What dedicated care.
Well done
and strength
Thank you for your support and sharing.
What empathy. Correction of typo
I had 4 catheterizations at Carmel and was in all the heart departments. Dedicated, personal, quality care is simply amazing. Quality and caring staff, from the department managers, doctors, nurses and support staff. May God bless you.
I would like to hear Meir Indyk, who is responsible for kashrut, publicly bless the occasion, for example,
Passover.
Endless negligence in all hospitals, disabled and dying constantly. Stop confusing the brain with the new devices.
His soul-guardian will be saved from this house of horrors. This is not a hospital, it is more of a house of….n. Fill in the blanks
Talcon: Stay away from this house of horrors.
What about brain catheters?
This is equally important and determines how quickly people have recovered.
Do they have it or only in Rambam?
Congratulations to Carmel Hospital and especially to the Director of the Electrophysiology Department, Dr. Jorge Schliamser, and his team, who work day and night in sacred, life-saving work in the field of catheterization and pacemaker implantation, and who are also diligent in developing and specializing in innovative professional skills. Congratulations to all those involved in the logistical work of adding a sophisticated catheterization room, which constitutes an important new, life-saving infrastructure addition.
Good news
