(Hai Peh) – Sara Hatan, 12, celebrated a magical, moving and unforgettable Bat Mitzvah celebration on February 17, 2025. Her mother, Pnina, told Hai Peh: "Thanks to you, the event was more than perfect, and Sara's dream came true."

An unforgettable event
Sarah, who recently celebrated her 12th birthday, and her mother, Pnina, were very worried about what her Bat Mitzvah celebration would look like. Since childhood, Sarah had dreamed of a big and special event, but due to the war and the evacuation from Moshav Shtula, many of the invitees were forced to announce that they would not be able to attend. The thought of canceling the event made Sarah very sad and made her cry.
Pnina, who did not want to see her daughter disappointed, looked for a way to make the celebration unforgettable, despite the challenging circumstances. After Sarah experienced eviction from her home, mental stress, a long stay in a hotel, and many changes, Pnina decided to contact Hai Peh and ask for their help in publishing the story. The website's editors accepted the request with an open heart and published Sarah's story out of faith in the power of an embracing community.
The article was published on February 10, 2025, and from that moment on, many requests began to flow in from people who wanted to make Sarah happy in various ways – from physically coming to the event, through gifts and treats, to organizing an exciting celebration. Even though Pnina's request was for children to participate in the celebrations to make Sarah happy and nothing else.

Pnina, who was surprised by the overwhelming response and goodwill of the public, received all the gestures with love and excitement. The result was far beyond expectations: instead of a small event, a dream celebration took place with dozens of boys and girls who came especially to make Sarah happy. The atmosphere was moving, the joy was great, and the smile never left Sarah's face throughout the evening.

At the end of the event, Pnina turned to the Haifa team and thanked them from the bottom of her heart. She sent a personal message to the site's CEO, Noga Carmi, in which she wrote: "Dear Naga, my daughter Sarah and I would like to thank you for your help and support. Thanks to you, the event was more than perfect! Lots of children came to make Sarah happy, and she was endlessly happy. The smile never left her face the entire evening. Sarah would like to congratulate you and Hadashot Hai Fe - thanks to you, her dream came true, and she was surprised by the huge number of children who came to share her joy with her. A big thank you also to Shimon Sabag for the moving donation and the special organization of the dance floor. Sarah and I are full of appreciation and happiness - we thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
Sarah's story is a testament to the power of a supportive community and the power of community journalism. The article in Haifa succeeded in turning a dream into a reality and filling a little girl's heart with great joy and happiness.

Make Sarah happy: Come celebrate an unforgettable Bat Mitzvah with her! ♥ "I don't want to celebrate alone"
(haipo) – Sara Hatan, who celebrated her 12th birthday, never imagined that after everything she had been through – being evacuated from her home in a moshav shtula, mental stress, a long stay in a hotel and changing friends, teachers and classes – she would also be forced to celebrate her bat mitzvah with only a few guests. Her mother, Pnina, decided that she would do everything she could to make her daughter happy on her special day, and is now calling out to good people and families, asking everyone who can to come and celebrate her special and exciting day with her daughter.
Everyone is scattered.
When Pnina began organizing and preparing her daughter's bat mitzvah celebration, which she had dreamed of since she was four years old, she never imagined that most of Sarah's relatives and friends would not be able to attend due to the difficult circumstances. Sarah and Pnina live in Moshav Shtula, which was evacuated following the war and suffered severe damage. The families have not yet returned to the area. While everyone is scattered across the country - Eilat, Jerusalem, Nahariya, Haifa and more - most of the invitees were forced to announce, with apologies and expressions of regret, that they would not be able to participate in Sarah's joy, despite their strong desire.

Let's celebrate Sarah.
The event, scheduled for this coming Monday, 17/2/25, at 19:00 PM at the Yahalom Halls in Ein Hamifratz, was almost canceled. Pnina shared her daughter's situation, telling her that not enough guests would arrive and that it was impossible to hold the event without an audience. The girl broke down and cried non-stop, which caused Pnina to reconsider her decision. She felt that she had to make it easier for her daughter and bring her back the joy after everything she had been through in the past year and a half, so she decided to contact us, the Haifa team, so that we could help her invite as many good people as possible, so that they would come and participate in the celebration of Sarah, her beloved child.
In a conversation with Haifa, Pnina tells us about her life as a lively and happy child who has been through too much in the past year and a half. She lost her dog, who was her whole world, her home, which was directly damaged, and all her personal belongings and memories. All her personal security, her family and friends, she was forced to change schools, classes and teachers, and sleep in a hotel that became her home.
To erase some of the sadness
This girl, who is naturally happy and full of life, has been swept into a whirlwind of loss, instability, and mental stress that accompanies her every step. Although two months have passed since the ceasefire, the situation is still difficult. "Her heart is full of sadness and pain," says Pnina, "but I want to make her happy at all costs. Even if I have financial losses, this is not the time to skimp. It is important to me that she has an invited audience, that there are people who will come and bring her some joy, that will erase the sadness and pain she has experienced."

To fulfill the dream
Pnina asks and invites everyone who can come, every family, every person who wants to give a little joy and hope to her amazing child. "She is my treasure, and I want to make her dream come true. I want her to remember her bat mitzvah, which she dreamed of since she was four, as joyful and special. God willing, she will grow up and become a successful lawyer as she dreamed and dreams," concludes Pnina, her eyes filled with tears, but also with a lot of hope.
Friends, this sweet girl needs us now – let's come in droves and make her happy, celebrate with her on her special day, so she'll never forget it!
