Couple tried to escape from police with stolen car in Haifa

(haipo) – Coastal District police at the Haifa station arrested a couple on suspicion of stealing a car “in the act” after a chase, during which the driver crashed into a separation fence and tried to escape – but was arrested along with his partner.

The police told Lai Pa:

In a proactive operation conducted by the Haifa Police over the weekend, the unit's officer identified a vehicle committing a traffic violation, when the driver was driving at excessive speed while ignoring the right of way, which aroused the officer's suspicion, who began following him.

When the driver was asked to stop for inspection, he sped up and began fleeing, hitting the sidewalks. During the escape attempt, the driver attempted to make a U-turn against the direction of traffic, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a divider. Immediately after the accident, the suspect got out of the vehicle and began fleeing on foot, with the officer in hot pursuit.

The foot chase ended when the suspect got into a white Toyota, where another female driver was waiting for him. After a confrontation with the officer through the car door, the female driver sped off and fled in the direction of Tirat Carmel.

Police forces from Tirat Carmel carried out quick roadblocks, and with the assistance of teams from the Haifa station and a mobile unit from the Tirat Carmel station, the vehicle was stopped. An investigation revealed that the vehicle in which the suspect was traveling had been stolen a few minutes earlier from a street in Haifa.

The two suspects – a 48-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, residents of Netanya – were arrested for questioning at the Haifa station and were subsequently imprisoned.
Based on the findings of the investigation, the police will request an extension of their detention in the Haifa court.

The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner.

"Criminals" steal "cars" using various and strange methods: even by "towing" as if a tow truck had been ordered.

"Criminals" steal "cars" in various and strange ways: even by "towing" as if the car's owners had ordered it... so that to passersby on the street, it seems not suspicious... but this is a terribly negative "phenomenon" that harms all of us "citizens of Israel"... Yes, "insurance" rates are rising...@
And it's important to know: Not every column in the "car lot" works properly...!!!!!@@@@@
Very scary material for the computer and for treatment: "massive" & "intensive"!!!!!!@@@@@

  2. All the best to the police and the police officer who closed the event.
Now it remains for the court to have its say.
Usually his words are weak, but maybe this time...?
    hopefully
