(haipo) – A fire broke out in the kitchen of an apartment in Kiryat Motzkin – the smoke detector saved a life.
From Fire and Rescue it was delivered to Lai Pa:
Yaakov, an operations sergeant in the control center of the Northern District of the Israel Fire and Rescue Service, is sleeping at home after a night shift at the 102 hotline.
Around 09:00 AM, Yaakov woke up to a loud beeping sound from the smoke detector he had recently installed, and discovered that a fire had broken out in the kitchen of his home in Kiryat Motzkin.
Yaakov acted quickly to call firefighters from the Coastal District, who quickly arrived on the scene, prevented the fire from spreading, and vented the heavy smoke that had accumulated in the apartment.

Fire and Rescue Services are calling on the public to install smoke detectors that will alert you to a fire at its beginning, allow for a quick escape, and save lives!
