"Influence" program for young Haifa female leaders - will you be among the 20 selected?

The Haifa Boston Partnership, Haifa MTI, and the Haifa Economic Society are launching a unique program for young Haifa female leadership!

The Haifa-Boston Partnership's "Influential" program for young Haifa female leaders has been working for nearly a decade to promote initiatives that influence the city and create social impact.

The year 2024 was a year of severe crisis for the business sector in general and for small and medium-sized businesses in particular. Therefore, in 2025, it was decided that the program would focus on business ownership from the city, led by MTI Impact Haifa, the House for Social and Environmental Excellence (from the MTI Haifa Group), Mercantile Bank, and the Haifa Economic Company.

The program will launch in March 2025, for three months, for 20 carefully selected businesswomen, with the aim of empowering women business owners in the Haifa area, and training them as social and business change agents. The program will include professional lectures, personal development workshops, and community events.

“We are looking for women who want to combine business and social impact, through senior mentors, excellent lecturers and a supportive community,” explains Hila Perlman, Director of the Haifa-Boston Partnership. “We offer an opportunity to become an agent of change – one who leads in business, builds a strong personal brand and leaves a mark on the city, community and the environment,” she adds.

The program is intended for women business owners from Haifa and the surrounding area, with priority given to young women with at least 5 years of experience in business management or equivalent business management experience, with social and environmental awareness and a motivation to make an impact. Women who believe that through community building and personal leadership they can also strengthen their business.

The program, which will begin in March 2024, will guide participants through the process of developing a social enterprise within the framework of the business they own. Each participant will receive personal guidance from advisors and mentors, experienced businesswomen in their fields, who will provide participants with rich life experiences.

Rani Bender, Chairman of the Haifa Economic Society:

"We are pleased to take part this year in the unique project of the Haifa-Boston Partnership and the Haifa Metropolitan Business Council, to promote young businesswomen in the city. Promoting influential businesswomen in Haifa is a mission and we will continue to support them so that they become leaders in the community in the business arena. Strengthening the connection between the economic society and the business community in general and the female business community in particular is an important and central pillar of our activity and we will continue to work to create a leading business community in the city of Haifa."

"After such a challenging year, programs like this allow us to directly influence and contribute to the city's economy," said Hanan Markowitz, CEO of the Haifa Economic Society. "We are proud to launch a focused program that strengthens the Haifa economic community, and together with our partners and associates, we are setting out to strengthen businesswomen in Haifa and enhance the city's economy."

Shani Aloni, CEO of Haifa's MTI:

"The past year was challenging for small and medium-sized businesses, but alongside the many difficulties, the Israeli entrepreneurial spirit was revealed in all its beauty. This program is a fitting way to start 2025, which is expected to be a year of restoration and growth. MTI Haifa is happy to be a partner in empowering business owners as the local leaders that Israel needs, today more than ever!"
