(Hai Fa) – Coastal District police arrested a driver of a truck that was prohibited from use, without a test and valid insurance in the city of Haifa.

The driver, a 66-year-old Haifa resident, was arrested and the truck was towed to the police station. A Haifa police officer from the Coastal District is fighting drivers who are driving under a ban and continue to endanger road users.
During a proactive enforcement activity by Haifa police officers from the Carmel area in the Hof district, against offenses by drivers who are driving a vehicle under a ban on use and endangering the public of road users, the police stopped a truck for inspection. During the inspection, it was discovered that the driver, a 66-year-old Haifa resident, was continuing to drive when the truck was under a ban on use due to serious defects and was prohibited from driving by a traffic inspector and without a valid test and insurance.
The police arrested the driver for questioning at the Carmel Area Police Station, and at the end of his questioning, he was released on conditions in accordance with his bail conditions, and the truck was seized by the police.
The police intend to file charges against him.
Driving a vehicle that is prohibited for use is a serious violation of the law and endangers the driving public. Coastal District police officers are working to locate these drivers and keep them off the road, in order to increase deterrence and protect the public life of road users.
