(haipo) – Haifa residents were amazed to discover an unusual sight next to one of the city's main roads – a herd of goats wandering around for pleasure next to Freud Road.
"It was a particularly surprising sight," says Nina Monina, who sent the special documentation to the "Hai Pa" editorial team. According to her, the drivers stopped their driving for a moment to watch the amusing spectacle, while the goats seemed carefree, wandering around as if they were on a daily walk.
Nina added with a smile: "It's not every day you see goats in the middle of the road. This made everyone smile," despite the traffic jam that occurred. "Events like this remind us that nature always finds ways to surprise, even in the busy city center."

I don't understand how they dared...
Did we break down?!
We are the unusual sight. They were there long before us!!! If we continue like this in 100 years both birds and lizards will be an unusual sight! Come on Samar Odeh, find another important topic and write about it, like the National Insurance benefits of retirees who are not updated and it harms the elderly! Are there any topics missing???…
I wouldn't say wisdom is rejected based on the response, I'm skeptical.
Haifa residents have become accustomed to pigs... so goats, this is a phenomenon they haven't seen yet...?!
About two months ago, a large herd of goats ran across Freud Road, from the southbound direction of Lincoln Hills. Traffic stopped, and fortunately no accident occurred as a result.
We reported it to the police, and I'm sure others reported the incident as well. But if the incident repeats itself, they probably didn't do anything about it or tip off to prevent it.
It's a shame you call innocent animals "harmful." The real harm is man.
What's wrong with that? It's good for those who don't hike in nature, nature comes to them
This is not the first time they are on this road, every few months or so they are seen on the Carmel roads.
Better than pigs. And by the way, they're good against fires.
The Israeli government has brought upon us a house full of toxic waste.
Goats and sheep are better than pigs, they are also beneficial to nature.
Herds of goats should be brought to places that are prone to fires. The goats will eat the vegetation and this will prevent fires from spreading. Something that happened in the past. Food for thought.
It seems to me that they eat green grass, not dry grass, and it's the dry grass that catches fire.
Some thought it was a herd of pigs.
If these were pigs, oh my, what angry reactions would emerge...
Nina Monina.
Nice exchange. Have a good and blessed week everyone.
Goats on the roads, instead of pigs, are at first glance a nice substitution. 🫠
Taking over Wadi Sheik. It's time to stop letting them take over a natural public space.
All entrances to the valley are blocked.
Poor people, they went astray, they asked
The pigs, where is the Carmel Center?
Oh, the pigs felt something.
They will eat their food,
Send them on a different path.
And the poor people are getting worse and worse.
And I don't understand how they haven't arrived yet.
To the center of Carmel….
I loved it. A story about a blessed trip…wintery and pleasant….
Thank you, Avinoam.
these……
It's a good thing they moved quickly before the mayor could send hunters like he did to the pigs...
The goats were released by "Swedish" shepherds.
