(Hai Fa) – This morning, at 09:30, Israel Fire and Rescue teams from the Coastal District were called to a school on Pinchas Sapir Street in Kiryat Yam, following a report of a fire that had broken out in a workshop room. Firefighters who arrived at the scene detected thick smoke and flames erupting from the scene.
The shift commander, Rabbi Reshef Benny Zakhariev, said: “Upon our arrival at the scene, we noticed thick black smoke and significant combustion. The fire crews immediately began scanning the nearby classrooms alongside extinguishing the fire. All students were safely evacuated by the teaching staff, and fortunately, the incident ended without any casualties.”

Robbie Yifrach, acting spokesman for the Coastal District, noted that the incident was handled professionally and quickly, while ensuring the evacuation of the students and maintaining their safety.

As of this time, no injuries have been reported, but the damage to the workshop is still being assessed.
