(haipo) - This morning (12/1/25) we reported an accident and blockage in the Carmel tunnels and now (12/1/25, 15:50) again an accident and blockage again. This time, too, the blockade is in the section from the Carmel beach to Neve Shanan (the same section where the accident occurred this morning).
The Carmel Tunnels announcement:
The section of the tunnel from the Carmel beach to Neve Shanan was closed to traffic following an accident.
According to Waze the whole area is congested.
Drivers are advised to follow available routes in the WAZE app.

There is not a day on the road when we are not in a near-accident situation on the roads in Haifa.
The distribution is roughly like this:
40 percent of the time, distracted drivers are speeding on the roads.
30 percent of errand bikers zigzag between vehicles and dangerous detours and through sidewalks and against the direction of traffic, especially on the sea road. Motorcycles bypass a white line, travel in the opposite direction, simply endangering lives.
30 percent of people who stop with their car in the middle of roads or wait for parking for like 20 minutes move or can't find it and just park on the road, it's time to immediately fine them for stopping in the middle of the road. Sure about parking at night that takes up lanes. Where is the enforcement?
??
Do yourself a favor, slow down.
Keep your distance. Your life is important.
The management of many of the users of the tunnel is bordering on scandalous driving without the law and ordering dangerous detours without hesitation and there is no proper enforcement and the address of the next traffic disaster is written on the wall
This is the case when the payment is high and the travel load is not particularly high. People think they are pilots. When they remove the payment, the tunnel will be busy, they will travel 1 km per hour, there will be traffic jams, there will be fights... the celebration of the tunnels...
Where is the police 👮
