(haipo) - On Saturday 11/1/25 in the morning, a report was received at the 102 fire and rescue center about a fire that broke out in a residential apartment on Gush Etzion Street, in the Halisa neighborhood in Haifa.

Firefighting and rescue was handed over to Hai Pa
Rabbi Reshef Barak Silem, the shift commander, led the teams of fire fighters from the Haifa station to the scene. The crews recognized a definite fire, began to go up the stairs, and on the way met the family members who came out of the burning apartment. The fighters helped take them down safely for medical treatment, and then continued extinguishing and scanning operations under conditions of heavy heat and thick smoke.
The five members of the family were injured, four of them slightly as a result of smoke inhalation, while the mother of the family was slightly to moderately injured.
An arson investigator is expected to look into the circumstances of the fire.
