As part of the project to improve the visibility of the street, which is a vibrant entertainment center that includes a variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants, the street was closed to vehicle traffic, with the aim of turning it into a pedestrianized pedestrian-only area. Alongside this, paving and asphalt repairs were carried out along the street, new street lighting was installed, and new trees were planted for natural shading, which were connected to an automatic irrigation system. In addition, the street furniture and safety railings were renewed, and measures were taken to improve safety on the nearby Shaar Palmer Street, including raising the crosswalk to slow down the speed of vehicles.
The new piano, similar to the piano placed in the center of Carmel, is made of concrete weighing approximately 350 kg and is equipped with advanced amplification and control systems. The remote control system allows programming the piano's operating hours and its power. Despite being electric, the piano is resistant to all weather conditions and is suitable for use throughout all seasons.
