Together, the forces managed to pull out a hiker who fell into a 25-meter deep pit and give him initial medical treatment on the spot The patient suffering from severe limb and head injuries. This complex operation is an exceptional example of teamwork under pressure under challenging conditions.

Firefighting and rescue was handed over to Hai Pa
At this time, the firefighters and the special rescue unit of the Haifa station, under the command of Rabbi Reshef Eitan Ripa, together with the volunteers of the "Galil Carmel" rescue unit, finished rescuing a man who fell into a 15-meter-deep pit in Carmel Park.

Upon arriving at the scene, the rescuers contacted the person (he was hit in the head and complained of dizziness), monitored the pit to rule out the presence of dangerous gases, and then using special rope systems sent a paramedic from "Galil Carmel" to the trapped person in the depth of the pit, he began treating him medically as he suffered from broken legs and head injury.
Finally, a firefighter, a fire rescuer was sent into the pit and with the cooperation of a rescuer from the rescue unit, they rescued the person using a backboard stretcher and with the required caution brought him to the ground level and evacuated by helicopter to the hospital for further treatment.
The Galil Carmel rescue unit told Lahi Fe:
The volunteers of the "Galil-Carmel" rescue unit of the Israel Police in cooperation with the fire fighters recently completed a rescue in the Carmel area (03/01/25). The rescue was defined as an "urgent medical rescue".
This is a 51-year-old traveler who was traveling with his wife, during the trip he fell 25 meters into a water hole. An initial medical assessment revealed that he is in serious condition. The volunteers of the rescue unit arrived at the point where the traveler fell
And the TAJ team (climbing, gliding and rescue) in cooperation with the fire fighters built a rope system.
The unit's paramedic and a firefighter rushed to the injured and gave him initial medical treatment in the pit. After it became clear that he was in serious condition and that he was suffering from limb and head injuries, it was decided to launch an Air Force helicopter with the 669 fighter team.
After he was taken out of the pit, the helicopter evacuated him to the Rambam Hospital. The injured person was described as seriously injured.

Guy Garbarski, commander of the "Galil-Carmel" rescue unit, told Lahi Fe:
"The location of the injured person was a challenge, after a complex rescue operation, the injured person was pulled out of the well with the help of the TAJ team and the firefighters. The traveler was taken by helicopter to the hospital.
It is important to note that if you get lost on your way, you should wait in place and not continue walking, you should call the 100 hotline of the police and ask for the "Galil-Carmel" rescue unit. The volunteers of the unit came to your aid*".

Kudos to the rescuers. It's a shame you didn't mention in the article, where that hole is, so that other travelers know and be careful
"at a depth of 15 m" or "at a depth of 25 m" ??
Who's paying?
Who pays? The entire public, given that the pit in the area is allowed for a walk and is open to the public, and it could have been any of us.
