The unique Haifa neighborhood recently celebrated its centenary in a festive and exciting event. Old and new residents came together to mark this significant milestone.

The event, which was held in the Rambam Hospital auditorium, included fascinating personal stories, intergenerational meetings and a glimpse into the neighborhood's glorious past. The event was produced by an intergenerational steering committee from the neighborhood, in collaboration with the Community Department of the Municipality of Haifa and the community center in Bat Galim.
Zvi Shkolnik
Edna and Moody Bonstein
Pesach Bonstein's two grandchildren Edna and Modi also came and told about the grandfather who built the casino.
Mocha Margolis
Moka Margolis, the brother of Bambush and the late David, one of the owners of the pool, first asked to check the level of refreshments, but before that he had time to tell us about his exploits in the pool that was owned by the family.
David Sandomir
David Sandomir and his wife Nira are still residents of the neighborhood. David told about "Hatskel" his father the cobbler who was a Galimi shoe repair establishment.
Arnon Bigger
Arnon Bigger excitedly told me about what Bat Galim is for him.
and also added Ruthi Shaul.

The event took place as part of the "Beit Galim Festival" events, which have been held in the neighborhood every year for 14 years. The ceremony was moderated by veterans of the neighborhood, Zvi Shkolnik and Haim Raz.
The singer Anat Ben Hamo-Amit, born in the neighborhood, performed a special song that she wrote and composed herself for the occasion, accompanied by her husband, Matan Amit.
During the event, exciting films about the Bat Galim neighborhood were shown, including Tal Raz's spectacular film, "Bat Hayam", with spectacular underwater shots, and Ilana Yahav's film, the sand artist, who thrilled the audience with a unique music video. Alongside this, additional videos were shown telling the story of the neighborhood.

On the municipal notice boards it was published: "Beit Galim event". Wave house? Was a campaign once again delivered to a non-Haifai body, who does not know the city and its neighborhoods, and its contents were not even proofread?
Beit Galim is an open house event that has been held for over a decade in Bat Galim in every Sukkot.
Since this year Sukkot was not possible at all, the event was moved on the calendar.
I was very happy to read about the celebrations in honor of 100 years of Bat Galim. I regretted that they did not bother to inform the descendants of Yosef Zvi Milson about the event. Milson was a Bat Galim builder. When there was a meeting of neighborhood veterans in Isabella Bar, we participated: Netza Kehat Milson, his daughter, and I, Ella Fuda, his granddaughter. Beit Milson, on the corner of Gan St., is also celebrating 100 this year. We hope you will add our name to the list of neighborhood pioneers.
It's singing in public. Have a good and blessed week everyone
It's a shame that you turned the evening into public singing. You paid almost no attention to the history of the neighborhood.. Milestones.. A film that presented points of interest in the neighborhood was shown until the audience entered and thus ended..
Bat Galim is not impressions and experiences of the last 10 years.
The intention was good, the execution less so.
