The Israel Police is prepared for the match between Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Bnei Rayna at the Sami Ofer Stadium
(Hai Fe) - The Israel Police has completed its preparations for the soccer match between Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Bnei Rayna in the Premier League, which will take place today (02.01.2025) at 20:00 at the "Sami Ofer" stadium in Haifa. The game is expected to attract thousands of fans, and the police are preparing to maintain public order and security, as well as ease traffic congestion in the area.
Deployment of forces and security arrangements
Hundreds of police officers, ushers and security guards will be deployed starting in the afternoon in the stadium area. The police officers will work to maintain order, prevent violence and secure the crowd, along with directing traffic on the roads leading to the stadium. In addition, overt and undercover police officers will be stationed to deal with any unusual incident.
Important highlights for the fans:
- Opening of gates: from 18:00. It is recommended to arrive early to avoid queues at the security check.
- It is forbidden to bring drones, flares, pyrotechnics, alcohol and weapons into the stadium.
- The introduction of cheering equipment will be possible only with the permission of the police.
- Any disorder, including moving between gates without permission, will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
Traffic regulations
To ease congestion, the police will block several streets around the stadium starting at 15:00:
- Vaclav Square - Parking in the direction of Ephraim Katzir Street and Ya Hasportaiim will be allowed only for residents of the neighborhood.
- Peres Square - The entrance to Ezer Weitzman Street will be allowed only to residents and those with a parking ticket.
- Castra Street - Access will be allowed to residents of the neighborhood, parking ticket holders and the disabled only.
- The statue junction - Access from Route 4 will be allowed for appointment holders, residents of the neighborhood and matronies only.
Illegally parked vehicles will be towed to the Congress parking lot or Harotem Street. It is recommended to avoid inconveniences and park in one of the regulated parking lots: the Intel parking lot, the Congresses, Tzvia and Yitzchak or Kastra.
Public Transport
Line 1 of Egged will operate in a condensed format from the center of the Kiryat, the heart of the bay and the Carmel beach, with priority at junctions and traffic lights. At the end of the game, there will be a condensed array of matrons near the stadium, on Route 4.
