(haipo) - The Department of Police Investigations (Police Investigations) at the State Attorney's Office filed today (Wednesday, 25/12/24) with the Haifa Magistrate's Court, an indictment against a former police officer for an indecent act against a female police officer on duty, with whom he had a prior acquaintance.
According to the indictment filed through Attorney Yitzhak Peretz from the Police Investigations Department, the accused, who was serving at the time as a patrol officer, met during a night shift at a gas station in the north of Israel, a policewoman on duty who he knew from their shared service.
During the meeting, the defendant used their early acquaintance to force the policewoman to perform acts of a sexual nature against her consent. According to the indictment, the defendant locked the female police officer in a toilet stall at the gas station, tried to force a kiss on her using physical force, and even pushed her into the stall against her will. The policewoman managed to escape from the scene after she pushed him back and fled.
The investigation was conducted by a coast team in the police investigation department. The indictment attributes to the defendant the commission of an indecent act.
