(haipo) – Drama in the open air: In the evening, a report was received about a man who fell into a pit five meters deep, south of the Carmel Castle. Firefighters and MDA worked for his complex rescue.

Firefighting and rescue was handed over to Hai Pa
In the last hour, a report was received about a person who fell into a pit, in the open area, on the side of a mountain, east of the Carmel Castle.
The commander of the Haifa station, Second Lieutenant Soysa Yitzchak, led many teams in the field to locate the hole and a person in need of assistance.

After a short time, the hole was located and the man was trapped in it at a depth of five meters:
The fighters rushed to build a rescue system with ropes, put on breathing systems after gasses were found in the pit and were coming in just those minutes to rescue the person.
The rescue itself was conducted with great care and on a dedicated stretcher while they protected him from further injury.

MDA informed Lahi Pa:
Tonight, Tuesday, 25/12/24, at 22:18 p.m., a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Carmel region, about a man who fell into a pit in an open area south of the Carmel Castle.

After a lengthy rescue, MDA medics and paramedics provide medical treatment and refer a 45-year-old man in moderate condition to Rambam Hospital with bruises on his limbs and back.
