(haipo) - Dangerous vehicles, drugs and assault weapons were seized in a special enforcement operation.
During an operation by YSM Carmel fighters, in cooperation with overt and covert forces from the Hoof district, the forces raided a drug station in a public area and seized a substance suspected to be a cocaine-type drug weighing 1.7 grams, divided into portions ready for sale. The suspect, a resident of Haifa, was arrested on the spot, and found in his possession 6,250 NIS in cash and three mobile phones.
In another operation, the fighters located a suspicious vehicle and in the search of it a fist was found, which was confiscated. The driver received a report for not wearing a seat belt and was warned on the spot.
Also, another driver was caught, who had been driving without a valid license for more than two years. In his possession was found a substance suspected to be a cannabis-type drug intended for personal use, and he was detained for further treatment.
As part of the enforcement activity, eight vehicles were taken off the road due to serious safety defects, and five reports were registered for various traffic violations. A total of 60 vehicles and 69 suspects were checked during the operation.
A law should be enacted that every purchase of a means of self-defense will be required to present an identity card together with a certificate of integrity from the police.
