Kiryat Bialik continues to lead in investment in education: in a special meeting held on Wednesday 18/12/24, the mayor of Kiryat Bialik, Eli Dukorsky, with the new parent leadership in the city, presented the comprehensive investment plan in education for 2025. Despite the budgetary challenges posed by the "Iron Swords" war, The education budget will increase by NIS 15 million and will amount to NIS 186 million, which is about 40 percent from the municipality's budget, something that places Kiryat Bialik first among the municipalities in investment per student.

"Parental leadership is a strategic partner for the success of the municipal education system," emphasized Dukorsky. "During the war, we saw the strength of the cooperation between the municipality, the education system and the parents. We will continue to strengthen this partnership next year as well, despite the budgetary challenges that the war poses to us." In recognition of the extraordinary activity of the parents' leadership during the war, the municipality will provide a three-session professional mediation workshop. The workshop will provide practical tools to prevent conflicts and will help improve communication between the leadership, the school administrations and the local authority.
The educational development plan for the coming years includes the demolition and rebuilding of the Bialik school in its new location, the demolition and construction of a youth school using the construction method - evacuation, construction and expansion of the Kadima school, including the upgrading of learning spaces in cooperation with the Rashi Foundation. In addition, the construction of the elementary school will be completed The new ones are in Naot Afek and the Ort Rimon school, 6 classes will be added to the Rakfat school, a day care center will be established, 6 kindergartens and a youth club, and the development of yards in 7 additional kindergartens will be completed.
During the meeting, the achievements of the city's education system were praised: Asanat Levy, principal of the Bonim school, won a district award as a trailblazing principal, and Lia Tzur, a teacher in Ort Kiryat Bialik, was chosen to represent the Haifa district in the national competition for trailblazing teachers.
"The excellent grade we received from the Ministry of Education in the safety audit at the educational institutions testifies to the professionalism of the municipal system," noted Dukorski. "Despite the complex security situation and the economic challenges, we continue to invest in the future of our children. Education was and will remain the city's priority."
The meeting with the parent leaders was attended by the deputy mayor and holder of the education portfolio, Ben Esban, a member of the city council and the chairman of the education committee Bat El Lof, the director general of the municipality, Lior Tergan, and the director of the education department, Ami Reuven.
