(haipo) - An exciting event took place today, Thursday 12/12/24, at the Hoof Carmel bus and train station. 2th grade XNUMXnd grade students from the new Besmet school in Haifa, accompanied by the educator Irena, arrived at the station, as a special tribute to the soldiers returning home from the bases. The students, as part of a moral activity they organized at the school, baked cookies themselves and distributed them to soldiers passing through the station.
simple and meaningful
The school in the new Semat puts the education of values at the forefront of its attention, and this activity is just one of a variety of activities aimed at strengthening the sense of social responsibility and mutual guarantee among the students. "Thursday is the day when many soldiers return home from the base," said educator Irena. "We thought the least we could do was to say thank you in a simple, but significant way."
A soldier's smile
The gesture was greatly appreciated by the soldiers and passers-by. "Nothing could have made us happier than seeing the heroic soldiers smiling," said one of the students excitedly.
Small gestures
Besmet says that activities of this type accurately reflect the school's vision - to encourage the students to be involved in the community and to cherish those who contribute to our security. The students baked, packed and distributed the cookies, and through the activity they felt, in practice, the power of small gestures, and doing things for others and their contribution to positive change and strengthening society.
