Tzachi Witt is an artist of senses, illusions, telepathy and entertainment who controls logic and nature, since the age of 15. He is the father of Shuval and Sahar, born alive and lives in Haifa. Witt is a master artist in his field: he won many professional awards in Israel and abroad and left tens of thousands of spectators with their mouths open and their stomachs aching with laughter. His unique talent and creative thinking have made him a highly sought-after artist in the field of business and private events.

"I live here too"

Here is the section that brings you fascinating Haifa characters in their homes where the introduction is through the stories, the charges and the unique point of view of the people who make up the human mosaic of our city Haifa. That is, these are the people who live and live here, just like the name of the section - "I also live here".

As part of this section we will get to know Haifa characters and their place of residence. The acquaintance is not through the apartment's square footage, or a real estate appraisal or a design description only - but the essence of this acquaintance is to get to know the hosts' house, the stories, the emotional charge and the unique personal point of view. The Haifa senses that control logic and nature: Tzachi Witt.

On the tip of the fork: what is sensory art, illusions and telepathy

Before we dive into the experience of personal acquaintance with the artist of the senses Tzachi Witt - we must get to the bottom of the understanding of what this art is. The art of senses is part of the world of magic, but not every magician is also a master of senses. It should be noted that in magic shows various props are used, but in a show of the art of the senses, many props are not needed except for the power of thought.

Human senses absorb everything they know about the world and the people around them. This is why people believe that the personal choice in something - in its essence is based on our free will. Therefore, when the master of the senses offers us a variety of options and shows us that he knew in advance what we would choose, even before we chose it - we remain speechless, and may even believe that our own private thoughts are projected into the mind of another person.

Ifka Mastabara (the opposite is true) in reality, a master of senses is a normative person. He does not really have supernatural abilities, but through many years of experience and study he has acquired abilities that the average person does not have. He specialized in reading body language, suggestion, sleight of hand and even the ability to inspire and have a certain influence on those standing in front of him - so much so that the impression was created as if the artist had a "sixth sense" and supernatural abilities.

definite principles used by the master of the senses

Mentalists, psychics and magicians for children use different methods to create illusions. In the past, people with the ability to understand and use psychological processes (to gain an advantage over others) were called 'magicians' or 'wizards'. Today, it is understood that every 'spell' contains an element of false illusion, something perceived as if it is real, but in reality it is not.

Tzachi explains that there are definite principles he uses as a sensory artist. For example: distraction, a movement of a large size that attracts a lot of attention and thus hides a movement of a smaller size, suggestion and especially understanding the thinking of the people in front of it.

Despite this explanation and understanding, at the end of the story, the viewer's question is heard:

"But how did you do that…??" ► Watch

The intelligent crowd appreciates the 'magic' skills

Sometimes the dividing line between the actor and the audience may be blurred, as in the performances of the Haifa master of the senses who controls logic and nature. In Tzachi's programs, 'audience participation' is combined with the bewilderment, "What actually happened here??".

Witt says that it is actually easier to work with an intelligent audience, who know how to appreciate the same skills that he has developed. He adds and says that a prudent, smart, smart and sensible audience is an empathetic audience and sensitive to the professionalism that is brought and presented in front of them.

The roots of the Witt family

Tzachi was born in Haifa at the 'Elisha' hospital (1968) to his parents Nitza and Eli Witt. His mother is the one that many of the graduates of the Reali School in Haifa are delighted to recall their stories in the era of the educator and class coordinator Nitza Witt. That is, until some of them say that "in my eyes, Nietzsche Witt is 'the teacher' in the news!"

For about 12 years, Nitza White has been harnessing around 35 of her personal friends to gather once a month at the home of one of them, listen to a lecture, discuss and contribute to providing help to women and children at high risk.

The roots of the Witt family are connected to the heart of Haifa, as his father, the late Ali Witt, was the son of the late Zalman Witt, who was one of the founders of the Hasolel company and the publisher of the newspapers Dar Hayom, Palestine Weekly and Barid Al-Yom.

The grandfather, the late Zalman, was one of the founders of the Ben-Zion neighborhood in Haifa, and one of the founders of the Histadrut Bnei Binyamin. As a financier in the Histadrut Bnei Binyamin, the grandfather Zalman Witt bought a lot of land in the Land of Israel. The Carmel. Witt and his friends built the "Ma'onat Ben-Zion" hotel (which became "Lev HaCarmel") as well as a small neighborhood around it. As a partner in the "America-Israel Investments" company, he was among the buyers of the land that created the "Heinrich Heine Square" in Haifa. His father, Eli Witt, was an economist who later became a highly respected insurance man. In 2007, Eli Witt died of illness the cancer.

blood Brothers

Brother and sister. The brother, Amit Witt, is a father of two and lives in Haifa. Amit continues in the footsteps of his father, the late Ali, and is an insurance agent by profession. His expertise is in the field of "financial risk management in the family", a field that deals with the extreme financial situations in our lives. His sister, Sharon, is married and a mother of 4, who lives in the village of Katzir, Wadi Ara Sharon is a social activist who works as the director of the Center for Community Development in the Reform Movement.

childhood home

Tzachi describes a wonderful childhood in which games were a big part of it. While most of the boys went to play football, Shatchai hid between the trees and bushes of 'Gan Mania', when a bill tied with a fishing line was lying on the garden path. Indeed, his favorite game was to 'work on people' and thus amuse his friends and brothers.

Behind the residential building which was in the 'Heinrich Heine Square' area, Tzachi and his gang built a wooden theater that included a stage and even a dressing room. The boards were collected around the neighborhood and the nails...were financed from the 'pocket money' money. Already at that time, Tsachi was infected with the stage bug and loved to see the faces of girls and his band members smiling, laughing and having fun.

One of the "family legends" tells that once during lunch, when Tzachi was about 11 years old, he arrived without any prior warning with a friend. Because this was a surprise, the portion of meat for the extended number of diners was not prepared in advance.

Even then, the symbiotic relationship with 'Mother Nitza' was strong and solid - so that during the event, Nitza winked at her son and asked: "Who doesn't like the meat dish?" Of course Tzachi also winked at her and thus decided to give up part of his meal. The problem was more difficult during the distribution of the dessert portion... because then Mother Nitza winked again and said: "He who did not eat meat - is not entitled to eat dessert!" And so the guest was given full honor and the full meal, while Tzachi heroically 'paid' for the value of 'hospitality'.

The box of wonders

When he was about 7 years old, Tzachi received his first magic box from his parents, who had just returned from a visit to the USA. At that time, there were no stores in Israel selling similar equipment, so he delved deeply into understanding the magic. From that time on, the boy did not leave the box of wonders, and for every holiday, Birthday wanted to enrich these treasures, with the help of the equipment he had accumulated, already at the age of 10 he started performing at birthday celebrations in front of 8-9 year old children.

But 'Alia and Kotz Ba' - the operating instructions for the magic box equipment were written in professional English... Because of this, his father made a deal with him: in exchange for doing his homework in a thorough manner - the receipt will apply: translating the operating instructions of a box from the gift pool. Tsachi mentions his English teacher Ella Poda, who thanks to her attentiveness to him ("a tough teacher, but a really good one!") managed to free him from the dependency of translating the magic studies.

studies and army

12 years of study at the Reali school in Haifa. He confesses that in elementary school he was not among the good students, on the contrary. But "XNUMX cried, 'I caught myself' and finished with a quintet of Tov-Maouds!".

He was recruited into the IDF as an outstanding artist. He was assigned to the medical section of the recruiting office. Witt describes a wonderful time when he was "in a group of good guys with a great atmosphere", this was accompanied by a work permit for his performances as well as time to specialize in his art studies.

For two years, Tzachi studied at the Insurance College, aiming to please his father and continue his path. At the end of his studies, with his certificate in hand, he went out as an insurance agent selling insurance policies - for an initial work meeting with a well-known and well-to-do person in order to sell him his wares.

Right during the time of the meeting he realized that "actually these were 3 meetings: first, last and one too many", since he was drawn with his whole being to the practice of magic.

Shekhnai, Aladdin and Copperfield

As mentioned, already as a teenager he performed in front of different audiences and even received accolades for it. He invested the income from these salaries in studying the art of the Box of Wonders, especially with the founder of the Wizards Association, the late Roni Shechnai. When he was about 15 years old, he used to travel by bus and reach Roni, who lived in Tel Aviv. The boy paid $100 of his own money for each learning session.

Another tutor for him was the veteran Haifa magician Yoni Aladdini who helped him a lot. After all, Yoni Liebman is Yoni Aladdin or by his stage name 'Aladdin the Great'. In recent years, Yoni Aladdini also started working at the Haifa Tourism Association and produces unique super-sensory tours in Haifa.

Shortly after his military service, Tzachi flew to Las Vegas to meet another exclusive trainer and practitioner: David Copperfield. These planned meetings were planted with seeds of inspiration in which he received and absorbed the ability to successfully carry out actions resulting from a very high state of mind.

The hypnotism affair that didn't happen

On July 3, 1996, the entertainment episode "More or More" was broadcast with host and actor Aki Avni. An episode in which the magician Tzachi Witt was a guest.

Tzachi laid Avni covered with a blanket, with his head resting on a plank between two chairs and "miraculously" caused him to fall asleep and subsequently 'hang in the air'. After a few seconds 'wake up and download'. At the time, actor Avni was seen holding his head as if dizzy. The episode led to the intervention of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Justice in one of the strangest offenses: the magician Witt was taken to court on charges of using hypnosis.

Only in 2002, after a long trial of 6 years of legal discussions - Tzachi's absolute acquittal was announced. Furthermore, the judge harshly attacked the prosecutor's office for filing the delusional indictment and paved the way for Tzachi Witt's counterclaim against the state, which ended with compensation for Tzachi for mental anguish.

Tree branches from Shf. Witt

In 96, Tzachi married a beautiful young woman, Lilach Flem from Haifa, who was then a law student and even served as a participant in his performances. During the marriage ceremony, which took place on the 'shore of the Sea of Galilee', Tzachi amazed the hundreds of guests when he managed to make the bride disappear from the canopy area.

During the illusion event (which was also aired at the same time on Channel 2's news release), Tzachi was heard asking anxiously, "Wait, so who am I marrying now?"... but immediately asked the guests to look towards Lake Kinneret, where Lilac Gabi Sira was seen wearing a wedding dress Levana, walked towards her son-in-law.

Long live daughter and son. Shuval (born in 99), a dog breeder who lives in Haifa and also works in Tel Aviv, and Sahar (born in 2002) is a fighter in the Navy who was released from his service in the IDF only about 5 months ago. When they were released, Sahar had time to become an instructor at a Canadian youth camp. Since he returned to Israel, he has been working with his father, who does not reveal all the details of his actions to him... and as Tzachi says: "Those who work with me only know what needs to be known at that very moment."
He said and did not add.

You can say goodbye

After 23 years of marriage (in addition to 6 years of close friendship), the Witt couple decided in a joint decision to separate. They decided not to hire lawyers and did everything in a good spirit and by agreement, even at points where their opinions differed. Tzachi the artist of the senses and Lilac the lawyer (employee of the Ministry of Justice) proved that it is possible to say goodbye in a good spirit and with empathy.

Tzachi explains that "since magic, illusion and the art of the senses are an inseparable part of me, I decided that even on the day our marriage ends, the parting will be in a special way for me." On the steps of the rabbinical court, in front of the amazed eyes of a random crowd and... a camera - through Tchachi on broken glass and after a moment Kat managed to restore it to its entirety. Following this, Tzachi released the wedding ring from Lilac's finger... without touching it. The ring floated in the air and even went into the box from which it came out 23 years earlier.

Honestly, they parted on good terms, in a friendly and pleasant way. . . And as proof of this: during this interview, Lilach and Sahar arrived to coordinate something. . . Indeed, even after parting - life goes on.

Wizard's house

Since time immemorial for hundreds of years magic and illusion have played key roles in the world and they occupy a place of honor in the worlds of culture and art.

This fact has psychological and cultural roots. Whether it is in the field of extensive literature, or in the presence of magic in movies and shows, these illusions receive great respect in the worlds of entertainment. Many reasons to talk, the main one being the mystery surrounding this field. In the worlds of culture we want to meet what is beyond us, and for this there is nothing better than magic and illusion.

However, the artist of the senses Tzachi Witt is not endowed with any form of mystery... but with a lot of 'magic' from the language: charming, aesthetic, handsome and beautiful.

Conducting an interview with Tzachi Witt at his home - it's like watching a solo show when you get to sit in the front row. It is to enter a house where the show is creative, mesmerizing, captivating and very sophisticated, but without the colors of feathers and colorful fabrics - but with a lot of sleight of hand, and magic that requires thought and depth.

A restart in the era of the Corona virus and a restart in times of war

The world of art in Israel has not remained stable in the age of the Corona, as well as in the age and course of the current war. These periods are characterized by difficulties in making a living, dealing with young or adult children, lack of contact with older relatives, and in extreme cases even financial troubles. Tzachi says that "a week without performances - the feeling is as if there is no air to breathe, just like a drug addict who lacks the drug". These were his feelings during the times of global and national difficulty.

But a person with mental strength like Tchai 'turns every disadvantage into an advantage': during the corona virus, Witt worked on new abilities and improving the performance of magic. With the help of professional literature, contact and extensive browsing with colleagues on the Internet - he focused on learning new processes and content, a sort of professional restart. Now living, in the year of the current difficult war - he volunteered a lot and performed in front of soldiers and wounded, but he devoted most of his time to renovation and moving into his current apartment.

Breathtaking view of blue sea and sky

Witt's residence has a charm of light and peace. His home is in the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood where his children grew up. The Ramat Eshkol neighborhood is a Haifa neighborhood that sits on the main entrance and exit artery of the Carmel Ridge, and for Tzachi this is the ideal location, because "it is on the back of the mountain on the one hand - and on the other hand it has a very easy exit to the coastal road, for trips to the concerts."

The neighborhood is built around a green area that is used for the well-being of the residents and is surrounded by a breathtaking blue sea view that can be seen from almost every apartment, due to the special topography of the neighborhood. The images of the landscape emanating from the two balconies in Witt's residence can be used as ultimate screensavers even for those who are not residents of the city so beloved by Tzachi.

And... also a view of the flora of Nahal Ahuza

From each of the balconies, as well as from the windows of the house, a view of the vegetation of Nahal Ahuza is reflected. This is the stream that descends from the center of Horeb west towards the Mediterranean Sea. The length of the stream is three and a half kilometers, and its name was given to it before the construction of the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood, so it is named after the old estate neighborhood located near the place.

There are two springs in the stream, 'Ein Tana' and 'Ein Ahuza'. 'Ein Ahuza' originates at the bottom of a building located near the stream and flows all year round. On the slope of the stream you can see the pump house and next to it a deserted pond. 'Ein Thana' springs from a small well that you can dip in up the stream. The pump house was established before the establishment of the state and its purpose was to pump water from 'Ein Ahuza' for the use of the residents of the 'Old Ahuza neighborhood'.

In 2016, during the wave of fires in Israel, the Nahal Tevi burned almost completely and the fire even burned some of the houses of the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood.

A Colombian planter with impressive vegetation

Thanks to this beauty, Witt makes sure to stay on the graceful balcony. You can find a dining table, wide chairs as well as a planter with impressive vegetation which is not typical for our region. Israel-Colombia relations have known ups and downs. As of today, there are no official diplomatic relations between Israel and Colombia, since in 2024, Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Israel, claiming that it has a genocidal leader.

Regarding this complicated matter, one can wonder and ask: "What is the connection? And what is the meaning??"

Due to his friendly and good relations with the Colombian representatives who stayed in Israel, but left it - Witt received a planter of unique plants that currently adorns the balcony of the living room in his residence. With great piety he cultivates this vegetation which combines in an interesting way with the shades of green in the background.

A decorated table, a massage device and an improved TV

In the center of the living space stands a luxurious designed glass table, with several levels, and with the ability to change its shape in space. Also, the top of the table can be opened towards the sofa occupants.

On one of the sofa seats is a portable massage device. According to Tzachi, "After a long day of work or an exhausting night of a show, there is nothing like sinking into the massage chair, closing your eyes and feeling how the daily stresses fly away." This facility offers a combination of comfort and technology that allows you to enjoy an impressive massage experience with the help of a remote control.

And if we are talking about the remote control, then in front of the sitting area hangs a large-sized television, which makes the viewing experience the most pleasant.

Waking up to the view of 'Nahal Ahuza'

The bedroom in the White house is a particularly popular space. Next to his bed is a 'magic lampshade' in the shape of a crystal ball, which can be turned on and/or off with a slight wave of the hand.

Next to the magic lampshade - arranged and modeled (just like in a luxury boutique hotel) an adjustable, large and spacious bed. At dawn, the electric blinds are raised and you can wake up to the view of Nahal Ahuza from the balcony on the second floor.

Office workroom

On this floor is also Witt's study, where the computer corner occupies a very important place in his activities. Next to office equipment, receipt books, letters, various receipts, etc. is a photograph from a younger era.

This photo was published in the past as part of a comprehensive article in the Ma'ariv Lenoar newspaper. An article that discusses the skill of the 'young magicians', their lives and their thoughts in reference to the special profession that they chose already in their youth.

Tzachi discovers stories from the distant past, and points out that the 'laws of limitation' already apply to these matters... since the things happened sometime in his teenage years. Witt confesses that sometimes thanks to the magic he gained privileges and even enjoyed it in classes and/or in tests: he presented and removed notes during classes, and sometimes even did this during tests, right in front of the teacher's eyes.

Tzachi emphasizes that even in the past he didn't really cut women, cut off heads, remove flying objects on a broom in the lounge space and this is not 'witchcraft' at all - but sleight of hand that comes as a result of professional learning, hard work, rich experience and skill - which are mostly learned and practiced here in the workroom.

The desire to be like 'Dunedin that sees and is not seen'.

In the second half of the 20th century - the majority of Israeli children read the series of youth books 'Dunedin the Seer and the Seer'. This is a children's book series of 29 books by Shraga Gafni, who signs this series under the pen name: On Sharig (he was known by other periodical names such as: Avner Carmeli, Eitan Dror, Yigal Golan, Eitan Natev and Yitzchak Ahitov). Shraga Gafni was a prolific Israeli writer and Hebrew translator. He wrote and translated about 175 children's and youth books that became bestsellers. The Dunedin Seeing and Unseen book series was published between 1961 and 2001, and was extremely popular.

Dunedin's plots describe the special point of view of those who see and are not seen. In the first books, Dunedin helps the neighborhood kids, and gets into trouble, as a result of being invisible. In the rest of the series, the important focus is the fulfillment of national tasks, because the public establishment cannot perform certain actions due to its many limitations. That is why the institutions of the nation turn to the Dunedin boy with special powers for help.

Tzachi confesses that "to put it mildly, I really wasn't a bookworm". But he read this series of books several times. The stories of the plots and adventures in these books captured his imagination, and in the secret of his heart was hidden the desire to be like 'Dunedin who sees and is not seen'.

The sculptures of artist Nahum Gutman

Nahum Gutman, was an Israeli painter, illustrator, sculptor and writer, an artist born in the Russian Empire (born in 1898 in Telansheti in Serbia, Republic of Moldova, and died in 1980 in Tel Aviv). He was a well-known painter, illustrator, and writer, whose works are known and traded to this day in Israel and around the world.

In 1968, Gutman underwent surgery on his eyes and could not paint. He was looking for a creative field that would not strain his eyes, and began to create figurines in material/clay. The sculpture attracted his heart and for a while it became his main channel of creation, even after his sight returned to him.

Gutman embodied in clay/material key figures in his life, for example his grandmother Mintza who raised him and his brothers after the death of their mother and also the writers Han Bialik and YH Brenner. Gutman also sculpted Japanese characters that he remembered from his childhood landscape: men smoking hookah in a cafe and a cheerful waiter carrying a tray, a coffee grinder, active women covered from head to toe. Some of these works of his were also made in bronze castings.

Tzachi Haumer says again and say that "I have a woman whom I love the most in the world and who loves me, and this is my mother. She is the most amazing woman whom everyone loves so much. My mother is my best friend and I hope she continues to be this perfect!" - It will therefore not be surprising to know that the gifts from his mother Nitza White are the most precious objects to his heart.

Tzachi received the bronze sculptures by artist Nachum Gutman from his mother, as a gift in honor of the inauguration of his current residence.

Wishes, hopes and wishes

Tzachi hopes that even in the future he will be able to continue to make people laugh and have fun - especially in the current challenging times. He wants to 'break through the glass ceiling' of himself, improve and be praised for additional and new abilities.

On the family level, Whit expects and wishes for health and comfort for all those around him, especially for his beloved mother, as well as continued wonderful contact with his children, whom he is so fond of and appreciates, as well as continued friendship and a wonderful relationship with his partner Anat Nouriel.

Regarding Haifa - Tzachi hopes that a young population will come to settle in the city, but at the same time the image of the city of the Green Mountain will always be preserved. He hopes that Haifa will continue to be the most beautiful part of Israel, but at the same time more tourist places, attractions and centers of interest will be created there, which will arouse curiosity and interest in the city and attract a crowd of tourists from all over the country and from all over the world.

    • Tsakhila,
Sometimes magic happens. . . The magic of writing-
In your home and with you, it did happen!
      cherished
      And happy for this assessment.

  4. Dear Rachel,
    Great article!
Kudos to you and kudos to Tzachi White, the wonderful artist!
An exciting and excellent article, with extensive knowledge and information in every field, in which Racheli touched to a great extent, Tzachi White's specialties.
The landscapes of Tzachi's homeland and mine are so similar...
I am always in front of the green mountain, at a hint level.
And climb one of the beautiful peaks.
I breathe mountain air and a breathtaking view of the Carmel mountains and so Tchachi, the loving and sensitive and full of passion, to observe, learn, absorb, see, understand and feel with his senses himself, his family, his friends, his homeland, especially in beautiful Haifa... and also the exciting views of the Sea of Galilee.
Both Tzachi and I, born in Tiberias...also love the Kinneret landscapes very much.
A happy childhood for Tchai and me with the brothers, with his dear parents and especially with his beloved mother.
So was my wonderful childhood in the Sea of Galilee... and from the age of nine, I had my son Shaanan, Netiv Chen. and then at hint levels.
I seem to know his parents... they are really burned in my memories, especially his mother, as an educator.
And we grew up on the same books: Danny Dean, etc...
My children, especially the eldest, Prof. Ofer Peltz, a composer and pianist, who as a child aspired to be a "magician" and a "master of the senses" and an "artist", who is able to eliminate all the evil in the world!!!
At the age of 3 he asked for a magic box for his birthday.
At the age of 4, he asked to learn swimming. learn to dive and disappear...
Not to see for a moment and look only at his soul.
At the age of 6 he asked for a piano and began to learn to play
and come up with melodies that are pleasing to his ears.
    Mainly improvisations and jazz pieces.
Like the wonderful Tzachi, who looks into his own soul and into others and is good at understanding and knowing them... more than they know themselves.
And David Copperfield,...I adored him in my youth...
I almost married an insurance agent...
But I chose a paratrooper, who became disabled in the IDF,
Then to a mechanical engineer at Rafael.
So far from my world as an artist, and from the artistic soul and ambitions of our children... who are all involved in art.
The daughter is a dancer, the younger son, a clarinet player, a garden architect, a photographer, a farmer (in Kalil)...and also a water engineer...
In short, a magician and a charming artist, like Tzachi the Haifai, national Israeli and international magician.
Thank you Rachel, thank you Tzachi.
I invite you, Tzachi and your family to visit me (in coordination with me (at my gallery house.)
Have a nice weekend and a calm and good Saturday.
Also to Lar, Racheli, beloved, and to your family 💛🧡🙏🍷🍸🖐🏻👋🍃💚
