(haipo) - Coast District police officers uncovered an underground gambling house that was found in a police raid at a check post in Haifa. The operators of the place were arrested for questioning, at the end of which they were imprisoned.
The police told Lai Pa:
Nesher police officers in the Carmel region uncovered a place that was used as a gambling house and illegal games during an initiative activity.
During the raid in the check post area, the police seized and confiscated exhibits indicating that an illegal gambling house operates there, including dozens of computers and cash amounting to thousands of shekels, suspected of being the proceeds of criminal activity.
At the end of the search, the operators of the place - a 33-year-old resident of Kiryat Ata and a 42-year-old resident of Tirat Carmel - were arrested and brought to the Nesher station for questioning. The place was closed by the police.
According to the needs of the investigation and its findings, the police will ask to extend their detention in court.
