A 6-year-old girl was brought to the children's emergency department at Rambam with a pencil stuck in her head. The girl's condition is now described as light.
The girl arrived at the children's emergency room with the pencil stuck above her left eyebrow. According to the mother, this happened as part of a game, when two girls ran towards each other.
Dr. Muni Banifla, a specialist in pediatric neurosurgery, and Dr. Nitai Levy, a senior physician in the pediatric emergency room, pulled out the pencil after the blurring operation, to prevent the girl from feeling pain during the operation. The girl will remain under supervision in the children's department, to make sure that no infection has occurred where the pencil penetrated.

The medical teams of the Rescue Union provided first aid to a girl who was injured in an educational institution in the Galilee landscape.
Moshe Peretz, a medic at Ihud Hatzla, said:
"Her friends said that a sharp pencil was stuck in her head. After the initial assistance at the scene, she was referred to the Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where at this stage her condition is defined as moderate"
