MDA reported that the pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was seriously injured and is in danger of death. He was taken to Rambam Hospital for further medical treatment.

MDA Paramedic Niv Ben Baruch said: "We were called to a man who had been hit by a car. When we arrived, he was lying on the road unconscious with a significant head and chest injury. We gave him life-saving medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding, dressings, anesthesia and ventilation, and administering medication. We urgently evacuated him to the hospital as his condition was defined as serious, and he is sedated and ventilated ."
