The Municipality of Haifa announced the activation of three lifeguard stations on the city's beaches during the winter season, with the aim of maintaining the safety of bathers, who continue to visit the bathing beaches even after the end of the official bathing season.
when and where?
As of Monday, December 2, 2024, the lifeguard stations on the beach will operate "Zamir", "Bat Galim" Beach and "Naot" Beach in Kiryat Haim. The stations will be active every day, between the hours of 08:00-15:30, until the opening of the next bathing season.
Maintaining safety in the winter
The purpose of the move is to allow bathers to enjoy the sea even in the winter season while maintaining their safety.
A warning to the public
Bathing in the sea without the supervision of a lifeguard is prohibited and dangerous. Bathing at the manned rescue stations will ensure a safe and supervised stay at sea, even on cold winter days.
very beautiful Haifa.
Please publish my important response!!!!!
All "respect" to the mayor of "beautiful Haifa" - the honorable Mr. Yona "Yahav", who casts Yahva as an "arrow" that marks a "target" every time, surprising... how "attentive to the noises of the public"...!!!!!@@@@ @
What's the point? It's been years that there have been lifeguards in Haifa in the winter....in Tel Aviv and on every beach in the country.
Many thanks to the Haifa municipality for deciding to keep the very popular Bat Galim beach in Haifa open even in the winter.
Thank you for an accessible, maintained and well-kept beach.
We would be happy for the showers to be open at least until 17:00.
and the toilets until 22:00.
It would also be great if lockers were installed and there would also be paid chairs and umbrellas for the convenience of beach users throughout the year.
Regarding the fishermen standing on the breakwater. Care must be taken not to throw fishing rods towards the interior of the lagoon. The sea belongs to everyone, but each of the users of the sea must know their limits.
Throwing rods into the bathing area is dangerous.
What about Carmel Beach?
Are marine activities allowed... boating, kayaking, etc.?
Well done, a welcome initiative 💪
