(haipo) - A difficult morning on road 762 near Besmet Tivon, after a fatal car accident between a motorcycle with two riders on it and a minibus empty of passengers. One rider was killed, the other was seriously injured. The minibus driver was slightly injured.

At 07:41 a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Carmel region about the accident. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene provided medical treatment to the two motorcyclists, residents of Basmat Tivon. The front rider, in his 20s, was seriously injured, but after prolonged resuscitation operations, he was pronounced dead on the spot. The second rider, who was riding in the back, was taken to Rambam Hospital in serious condition with a multi-system injury. The driver of the minibus was slightly injured and was also taken to the hospital.

"This is a serious traffic accident. The motorcyclists were lying in the bushes near the road.
