Beit Keller in Haifa was damaged: a historic building is in danger

(haipo) - Last night (16.11/130), among others, "Beit Keller" - an impressive Templar building over XNUMX years old, was hit by a missile fired from Lebanon. The building, located on Keller Street in Haifa, includes the Schumacher Institute, which belongs to the University of Haifa and gathers many collections and books within it. Following the destruction of the building and especially the destruction to the roof, the institute's staff realized that it must be evacuated immediately and for fear of rainwater infiltration.

The Schumacher Institute: a repository of history and knowledge

Dr. Lilach Barak, the director of the institute, published a post asking for help in packing the institute's materials as soon as possible. The response was amazing and dozens of people were quickly mobilized for the operation to save the institute's materials, including a team from the Haifa Museums, which included volunteers from the collections department and the Haifa City Museum. The volunteers worked during today for the safe removal of the materials in order to transfer them to the municipal warehouses.

The importance of preserving the Templar heritage

According to Yifat Ashkenazi, curator of the Haifa City Museum: "The building of the city museum is also a Templar building and these days we are working on a new exhibition that will review the magnificent Templar heritage in Haifa. It was important for us to come today and help move the historical materials that are here to a safe place. The archive collections are extremely important, As well as the Templar building where they were housed, which I hope will be renovated soon."

  1. Either we eliminate the head of the snake Qatar - or we get more of the same.
Every day another building will be destroyed by more missiles financed by the Emir of Qatar in Doha, which houses the top of Hamas, financed 7.10, finances the media and political terror campaign against Israel and there is no doubt that, as in the World Cup, it also bribes politicians in the world to act against Israel
And what is Israel doing? Makes Qatar an intermediary for the abductees, which financed their abduction, and instead of creating a deterrent against it by attacking the banks that transfer the funds, we continue to fight the proxy, and it happily finances the arming of the Houthis, Hamas and Hezbollah, with tens of billions.
The results will be many more such damages. Even if we surrender with a "ceasefire" it is clear that the next round is around the corner and will possibly be with a nuclear Iran or chemical weapons. Wake up from your sleepy dreams of a new Middle East and remember that Jordan and Egypt are working against Israel non-stop regardless of peace agreements.
