The war posed significant challenges to businesses in the northern region and to businesses in Haifa in particular, who are dealing with uncertainty, a lack of customers, and more. The Economic Society for Haifa, together with the Municipality of Haifa, is launching a campaign for the businesses in the city, following the war. As part of the campaign, four activities will be promoted to support businesses in the city.

In the first stage, a needs survey of the businesses will be conducted, which will describe the needs of the businesses at this time. The mapping will be conducted in collaboration with the Haifa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association for Economic Empowerment for Women. The information that the businesses will share in the survey will help to deeply understand the challenges facing businesses in our region as a result of the security situation. Through the analysis of the data, precise solutions will be developed in the economic society that will help businesses to recover and grow.
At the same time, the HML hotline for business owners was brought back into operation, where you can submit a request for advice and information to businesses, self-employed people, associations, and community groups in the Haifa area - free of charge! The Business Chamber is a collaboration of the Haifa Mati Group, the Haifa Economic Society, the Haifa Municipality and the Association for Economic Empowerment for Women.
Many business owners have found themselves with unprotected work premises, which do not allow them to work regularly, in the current situation. To meet this basic need, the Economic Society for Haifa and the Municipality of Haifa are opening workspaces for businesses where they can work from work complexes throughout the city, near which there are protected areas. The benefit is free of charge, and must be arranged in advance after registering for the activity.
The complexes where work will be possible are the "Members" complex adjacent to "Gali Haifa", and the Regers complex in Matam, which include work spaces and private treatment rooms. In addition, a call has been opened for businesses to participate in a strengthening and marketing campaign for businesses like during the Corona period. Businesses interested in assistance with marketing efforts , will register in the business database, will upload files and information about the business and will be able to enjoy exposure and advertising in the various tools and media.

The Mayor of Haifa, Yona Yahav:
The local businesses are the beating heart of Haifa, and they are the ones that give the city its economic and community resilience. Especially in this difficult time, when businesses face unprecedented challenges following the war, the Haifa Municipality is committed to reaching out and supporting them in every possible way. We are working to create assistance and cooperation programs that can help business owners to make it through this difficult period. Together, we will overcome the difficulties and maintain a solid and strong local economy.

According to Rani Bender, chairman of the Economic Society for Haifa:
The small businesses in Haifa are the economic power and strength of the city, therefore in this security period, when the economic situation of the business owners is challenging, we help Haifa businesses by encouraging the residents to buy from small businesses in the city, alongside providing support and advice in economic areas. In addition, we will help the self-employed to work quietly in protected workspaces. We will continue to support the promotion of business in the city and the creation of a solid business community. A strong community and mutual guarantee are the strength of this city, and we will continue to do everything to strengthen the business community, both in good times and in difficult times.
