Following the proposal of Councilor Finney Wegman, a discount will be given to senior citizens and students at the Haifa Film Festival.
Following the proposal of Haifa City Council member Finney Wegman, a ticket to the Haifa Film Festival for senior citizens and students will be at a discount of NIS 12 as part of the purchase of a ticket for five films.
The initiative is designed to make the city's main festival accessible to populations with low incomes, and to allow them to enjoy the Haifa cinema experience as well.
The film festival, which was supposed to take place in Sukkot, was postponed to the upcoming Hanukkah holiday due to the security situation, and is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors from Israel and the world. The festival is held every year at the initiative of the Athos company.
Wegman:
The pensioners' faction in the city council aims to act for the welfare of the city's senior citizens, and we work, among other things, to make cultural events accessible to them at accessible prices. I am happy for the opportunity to make the Haifa Film Festival, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors, accessible to senior citizens and students as well, and to allow them to enjoy the varied content at an affordable price. Our goal is to allow even those with limited incomes to enjoy significant cultural events in the city.
