Hundreds of Rafael employees, who work around the clock to support the war effort and national security, were vaccinated against the flu at their workplace.
As part of preparations for the winter season, Klalit completed a flu vaccination campaign among Rafael employees in the Haifa and Western Galilee region. During the operation, which lasted a week, a team of Klalit nurses led by Miri Blaufeld, a nurse and professional development coordinator in the district, arrived at the organization's various sites and vaccinated hundreds of employees at their workplaces.
"As part of the overall medical response to our employees and out of concern for their health, we once again led the flu vaccination campaign at Rafael clinics this year. This campaign is another part of the envelope of the welfare of the employees as part of the concern for the safety and health of those who are constantly working for the security of the country," explains S. the rescue and emergency manager at Rafael .
Ronan Nodelman, director of the Haifa and Western Galilee district as a whole, notes that "We were happy to be available to Rafael employees as we do every year and make the vaccines available to them. We have a long-standing relationship with Rafael, an organization that deals every day with the development and upgrading of the defense of the State of Israel, and chose to protect its employees and keep for their health. We anticipate that the winter will be a severe flu and we suggest that everyone come and get vaccinated."
Studies show that vaccinating workers at the workplace and during working hours is one of the effective methods for increasing compliance to flu vaccines. In institutions in Israel where the management made the vaccination of employees a central task, particularly high vaccination rates were observed.
