Haifa, Thursday, November 7, 2024 - During a routine patrol in the Talfiot market area, the inspector of the Municipal Enforcement Division was able to thwart a robbery attempt and locate illegal residents, thereby maintaining the safety of the city's residents.
This morning, during a tour of the Talfiot market, he approached an upset young inspector who claimed that he had been attacked a few minutes ago by a suspect who tried to rob him. The inspector, who reacted quickly, interrogated the young man and in a short time was able to locate the suspect according to the description given by the victim. The inspector detained the suspect until a police car arrived, and when the officers searched his body, they discovered several knives. The suspect was arrested and taken for questioning.
An hour later, during another patrol on Raziel Street in the city, a municipal inspector noticed two young men rummaging through a trash can. He turned to them, but the young men were unable to answer his questions satisfactorily. Following this, the inspector called a police car. The inspection revealed that the two are illegal residents who need to be investigated. They were arrested and taken to the police station for further treatment.
Ilan Hodda, Director of the Enforcement Division at the Haifa Municipality, praised the quick and professional response of the inspectors.
