Foam gas cylinders, drugs and fines in the tens of thousands were revealed

(Hai Peh) - During an extensive raid that took place in Haifa by Haifa police officers from the Coastal District and civil enforcement bodies, dangerous and illegal products were uncovered in businesses related to criminal organizations. The operation included the seizure of foam gas cylinders, drugs suspected to be cannabis, non-prescription drugs, and boxes of prohibited preparations.

The purpose of the operation: fight against businesses related to crime

The police, in cooperation with civil bodies, raided various businesses in the city of Haifa as part of an extensive fight against businesses operated by criminals and perpetrators of crime. The operation was led by the security and licensing officer of the Haifa station, and it also included MGB soldiers, detective, patrol and intelligence officers, as well as representatives from institutions such as the National Insurance, VAT, the Electric Company and the Consumer Protection Authority.

As part of the operation, fines in the amount of NIS 15,000 were recorded due to violations related to consumer protection, and non-reporting offenses were also found against employees. Employees who were not legally reported were transferred to the National Insurance, and the businesses are expected to face additional sanctions on the economic and administrative level.

Enforcement work: cooperation between different enforcement bodies

The police worked closely with other enforcement agencies to ensure the success of the operation, which included seizures of illegal and dangerous products. All of the seized findings were forwarded to the Ministry of Health for further examination, with the aim of deepening the investigation and carrying out additional actions at the legal level.

The police emphasize that despite the security complexity, the operation took place as planned, with an emphasis on maintaining public safety and a determined fight against businesses run by criminal elements.
