The school, founded in 1884, continues to shape the future generation with a groundbreaking campus, led by Principal Ram Shmueli, who combines traditional principles with educational innovation
The "Alliance" school in Haifa, founded in 1884 by the "All Israel Friends" organization, continues to be an important milestone in the Haifa education system. This educational institution, which was established with the aim of providing modern Jewish education to young people, has nurtured over the years thousands of graduates who have excelled in their fields and led to significant changes in Israeli society. Among the graduates you can find key figures such as Einat Kalish Rotem, who served as the mayor of Haifa, Sylvi Keshet, a prominent journalist and publicist, Chaim Levy, an influential musician and creator, and Mano Geva Soker and the director of the "Sample" research institute - each of them left a unique mark in their field and consistently contributes to the improvement of society the Israeli one.
After almost 140 years of education and inspiration, the "Alliance" school is now being renewed with the construction of an innovative campus, which will combine both indoor and outdoor spaces, for the benefit of practical and creative learning. The project, established with an investment of NIS 27 million and financed by the Society for the Economy and Economy and the Municipality of Haifa, will include 24 classrooms, teachers' rooms and outdoor areas, including gardens and experiential learning areas. As part of this project, the students also took an active part, and as part of a unique hackathon, they thought and sketched the design of the campus that will be used by them in the coming years.
The advanced educational institution is currently headed by director Ram Shmoeli, who was appointed to the position in 2022. Shmoeli, a former fighter pilot with the rank of lieutenant colonel, is an educator with a rich background in leadership roles and social contribution. Since his retirement from the Air Force, he has served as the chairman of the "Galim" youth village and the "Hashomer HaShevid" organization, and also served as a member of the Public Cabinet for Education. In 2015, he even won the Jerusalem Prize for Unity of Israel for his contribution to Israeli society. In his educational approach, Shmuel strives to combine traditional values with innovation pedagogical, and promotes the school's vision of community integration, creativity and personal development.
These days, the construction of the new campus at the "Alliance" school in Haifa began • with an investment of NIS 27 million
During the construction period, "Alliance" students will take part in the municipal program "Routine Breaking Wednesday", which includes enriching learning in cultural and sports institutions in Haifa, such as the Haifa Museums and the Haifa Theater. The program allows students to enrich the learning experience in a practical way, while getting to know local cultural centers.
"Alliance" Haifa continues to develop while maintaining its educational heritage and values, and now with the new campus, it is prepared to continue training graduates who will influence Israeli society in the future as well.
The mayor, Yona Yahav, He thanked the management of the education system, the principal of the school, the students who were partners in the design and all those involved in the work of planning and construction and said: "The establishment of the new campus is another important step in training innovative learning environments adapted to the challenges of tomorrow and another step in positioning the Haifa education system at the forefront of educational innovation."
Head of the Education and Culture Administration, Ilana Truk: "The connection between design and pedagogy in the innovative campus will have an impact
significantly on the learning experience of the next generation, and every space will become an enriching and inspiring learning."
According to the simulation "the school after" is an architectural hazard... hope for a change.
Hopefully, at least from an architectural point of view, the interior of the building is designed with more flair than the exterior, which, to put it mildly, lacks any grace (not to mention looks like an architectural hazard....)
Absolutely right!!!
Kudos to you, my friend, Nega Karmi, for this report. Liliya is good and blessed to you.
I'm a student at Alliance High School and I'm really waiting for them to finish building everything! 😍
Finally, where is the original school that I also visited with its students and where is what will become of it in the last 20 years. It's good that a new principal has come to keep it on its feet because everyone ran away from it, it was substandard
Where is Bar-Oz?
I was happy to read that the manager who was in 2018 is not there. My granddaughter who was a returning minor experienced 4 months of horror there. The teacher who was supposed to help with her admission saw her as a nuisance and really abused her. My granddaughter ran away from there after 4 months not before she fairly slapped the same teacher and principal. She was accepted at another school with warmth and care and on July 23 she graduated. I don't know if Alliance has drawn conclusions and improved its ways since 2018. I really hope so.
From what I read here, he has really improved since then
I am a student at Alliance High School and the principals are really good, especially the principal in the division
