(haipo) - The employment of the Haifa city engineer, Orit Mertz, was unanimously approved.
The Haifa City Council unanimously approved this evening (Tuesday 5/11/24) the appointment of the new city engineer, Dr. Orit Mertz, who was selected by the tender committee of the Haifa Municipality last September for the position of Haifa City Engineer.
Mayor Yona Yahav congratulated Mertz and said: "Orit has gained significant experience in her work in the Haifa municipality and other municipalities, and excelled in the tender process over all the candidates. As a young and motivated woman, we are sure that she will lead the field of engineering in the city in the best possible way.
We wish her great success and emphasize that the doors are open for her every step of the way," said Yahav and added: "Together we will promote the city to be an attractive and leading place."
Good luck, dear Orit Maretz!!!
When your name is full of light and energy, creative, educated and smart, I'm sure the city of Haifa will look much more beautiful
Good luck, Daniel Zvi Hirsch
Orit gained significant experience in her work at the Haifa municipality = reason for disqualification not for appointment
It is enough to see how many catastrophic decisions were made from this significant experience..
The city of Haifa.
All the best to you my dear friend Lad.
When will they learn in the Haifa municipality that an engineer must be appointed to the position of city engineer.
Didn't the failures in appointing an architect instead of an engineer open the eyes of the public representatives?
An architectural consultant can always be appointed alongside the engineer. This is how the municipality of Haifa operated successfully for decades.
The worst department in the municipality is the engineering department. Even building an elevator takes several years when the municipality delays with false excuses and the tenants are forced to turn to lawyers for relief in order to obtain necessary licenses. Not to mention other constructions.
Please move things along and work, don't expect all the employees of the engineering department to do it themselves.
Excellent
Good luck to the lovely Orit
I wish her great success!!!
There really is a lot to do in the city.
Hope we will see a change from the "Teflon" policy that was in place in Haifa for many years...
Maori greetings to Orit...
