(haipo) - Following the security situation and the growing need to ensure the safety of the residents, the Haifa Municipality invested an emergency budget of approximately NIS 78 million for various needs, including: improving public infrastructure, purchasing protective equipment, strengthening welfare and education services, and strengthening the municipality's staff, with budgets that came from various funding sources. Now, the municipal treasurer is asking to approve an additional budget of NIS 10 million to repair the missile damage in the city.
The budgetary sources for repairing the war damage
Most of the 78 million budget came from self-financing of the municipality in the amount of 58 million shekels, and the balance from additional donations: the Ministry of Housing granted approximately 12.5 million shekels for the use of private shelters; The Ministries of the Interior and Education contributed NIS 6.5 million to expenses related to the evacuees; The Port of Haifa transferred a million shekels for protection, and the Haifa-Boston Partnership contributed 0.7 million shekels.
The 78 million shekels were and are intended for:
10 million shekels to repair damage to infrastructure as a result of falling missiles
In addition, the municipal treasurer, Shmuel Marlstein, intends to submit tomorrow (Tuesday, November 4, 2024) a request for approval of an additional budget of 10 million shekels, with the aim of repairing damage to the infrastructure caused by falling missiles and intercepted parts.
Well done to you, my friend, the treasurer of Haifa Municipality. Good night and blessed to you.
Illusory and absurd amounts in most buildings, the repairs were broken glass and replacement of windows and frames.
Someone inflated every building renovation by x5 to x10 the actual cost of the renovation
If anyone thinks that repairing curb stones and asphalt in the traffic circle in Ankva Square cost 660 thousand shekels, I would love to know what gold and diamonds the curb stones were coated with
If it cost 100,000 NIS, that's a lot.
Someone here is simply robbing the city coffers and working hand in hand with the contractors/suppliers.
The sums are absurd, almost every section that is presented to the public probably includes millions of shekels that are diverted from the budget for wage rampage (or simply theft of the city coffers) and put it in the sections of renovations, upgrades and readiness.
They did nothing.
All kindergartens in the Hadar neighborhood have no protection at all.
The parents cannot work.
Don't give them a damn
