On Wednesday 30/10/24, there was an extensive enforcement activity led by the Green Police at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, together with officers from the Environmental Protection Section of the Israel Police, the Coast Guard Police, the rural police and the owl unit shared with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Nature and Parks Authority.
The activity was directed against parties suspected of dumping waste in an open area near the Teva Nature Reserve near Basmat Tivon and with the aim of reducing the phenomena of dumping waste in the north, to eliminate the hazards. As part of the activity, three suspects, including the owner of a waste transportation company, were detained for questioning, and three trucks used to dump the waste were seized - the trucks were moved to a storage lot for further treatment.
Today's joint activity is another part of broad efforts to ensure that the natural areas remain protected and clean, and that all environmental criminals are held fully responsible for their actions. The cooperation of the Ministry of Environmental Protection with the Israel Police, MGB and RTG emphasizes the importance of joining forces in the fight against environmental crimes in order to protect public health and the environment.
