The month of October is known all over the world as breast cancer awareness month, or also by its name "Pink October". Rambam Hospital, which has been in intense activity for 30 days since the ground maneuver began in southern Lebanon, is not silent on the yeast, and this morning concluded the sequence of activities in this area with a particularly comprehensive study day.
On this day, dozens of convalescent women came to lectures on a variety of topics - from genetics, general surgery, oncology, radiology, radiotherapy, plastic surgery and more, which constitute one complete therapeutic envelope under one roof of the Breast Health Institute, under the direction of Dr. Aviad Hoffman. The seminar concludes A series of intensive activities at the hospital, the most prominent of which is a mammogram examination for the public who work at the hospital.
Prof. Ahmed Esalia, director of the surgical unit at the hospital, opened the seminar, which is taking place in the midst of the "Iron Swords" war at Rambam, when he stated:
In these days, early detection of breast cancer is a first-rate national mission. To illustrate, today it is a statistical incidence of 1 in 8 women who may be found with breast cancer at one stage or another. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, which is why we emphasize early detection to save lives. In men, on the other hand, it is a frequency of 1 in 100.
He concluded his remarks by first thanking everyone who came to the Israeli state and society during this complex period, and that he was happy for the very existence of this important day.
