After a tenure of 11 years, Dr. Yossi Ben Dov announced (Thursday 31/10/24) that he will end his position as CEO of the Reali Hebrew School in Haifa. He will pass the baton to a replacement who will be chosen soon.
Dr. Yossi Ben Dov, who serves as the CEO of the Reali Hebrew School in Haifa, announced the end of his position. After 11 years of office full of challenges and achievements, of which he added another year following the outbreak of the war, he will pass the baton to a new director who will be chosen in a search process that will begin soon.
In his letter to the school faculty, Dr. Ben Dov told about the beginning of his career as CEO, which he said stemmed from a deep sense of mission and belief that he could contribute to the field of education and the school in particular. He emphasized the many challenges the school has gone through over the years, including educational, social difficulties and even a global pandemic, and proudly noted that the staff was able to deal with them all thanks to their deep commitment to the students and the profession.
"When I assumed the position, I agreed in advance that I would serve in the position for two terms of five years each," wrote Ben Dov, "but due to the situation, I accepted the request of the executive committee and the board of trustees to extend my term for another year."
Dr. Ben Dov expressed his deep appreciation for the school staff, who made the period most meaningful and rewarding in his professional life, and added that he is full of gratitude for the privilege he had to lead the Reali School, the educational institution where he himself grew up and where his children and grandchildren also studied.
At the end of the current school year, Dr. Ben Dov will officially leave the school, but he states that he will remain in the position until then to ensure a smooth transfer of the position.
I am a graduate of the school, I graduated in 1971 and the values education I received was exceptional. I couldn't find a similar place for my children, which is a shame. Good luck to the next manager, this is an institution that needs to be respected.

Nice to finish!
It is hard to forget the political smell that accompanied his years in office compared to the great administrators who were in the past Dr. Biram Bentwitz and Shapira. And I wish they would be able to choose a replacement of their caliber
