The derby will be held as part of the ninth round of the Premier League and will start at: 20:30. It should be noted that Maccabi Haifa returns to play on the field in the capital after suffering its last 2 losses very recently, one against the match in which it lost 2:0 to the Maccabi Tel Aviv team, while the second match in which it lost 3:0 to the Beitar Jerusalem team.
1Noam Regev, spokesman for the football club Hapoel "Laos Media" Haifa told "Hai Pa":
"The decision to hold the game in Jerusalem was made under security constraints and was not an easy one and for us it is the "lesser evil". The decision was made after examining possible alternatives at the "Turner" stadiums in Be'er Sheva and the "HIA" stadium in Ashdod and finally it was decided to hold the game in a stadium that could allow as many fans as possible Enjoy the experience of watching a derby game between two teams located at the top of the table.
The club will issue organized transportation to the game, which we will update soon. Hoping for quiet days and a return to a full and sane routine. We thank the director of the leagues, the chairman of the association Shino Zoertz, the Jerusalem municipality and the stadium management for their cooperation and call for a fair and sporting game."
We will also add that as of now the fan organizations have decided not to come to Jerusalem because of their well-known protest against the police abuse of the green Maccabi Haifa fans in the games played at the "Teddy" stadium in Jerusalem.
The "Teddy" stadium is located in Jerusalem's sports park in the Malha neighborhood and contains 31,733 seats, which makes it the largest stadium in the State of Israel and is named after the former mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kolek.
