(haipo) - Two thieves, residents of the Meitav settlement in the Ha'anek area, stole a vehicle that was seized as loot from Hezbollah terrorists and had a rocket launcher on it. The van was stolen from an IDF looted parking lot and made its way, on top of a trailer, towards the south. They were caught by the Israel Police, in the Golani Junction area, after citizens reported it to the police.
The police said:
The Israel Police received a report of the theft of a van with Hezbollah rocket launchers that was seized as loot in southern Lebanon from a parking lot in the north of the country. In a quick operation by the police of the northern district, the vehicle was found to be on a tow truck in the area of the Golani interchange and two suspects were arrested.
Today (28/10/24) the Israel Police received a complaint from IDF officials about the theft of a van with rocket launchers that was until recently used by the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanon after it was seized by IDF forces and stored in a designated parking lot in the north of the country.
As soon as the complaint was received, an investigation was opened during which a tow truck was suspected, which at the time was moving in the north, and shortly after, the tow truck was stopped by the policemen of the northern district and MGB soldiers, with two suspects (30 and 35) and the stolen van on it.
The two suspects were detained for questioning at the police station and according to the findings of the investigation they will be brought in the morning for an extension of detention at the Magistrate's Court in Tiberias.
I wonder for what purpose we were stolen. Another news without further ado….
Without legal reform we will be worn to the bone! Who knows how many RPGs. Improved already found with hostile elements.
This is the reason that immediately upon capture the loot must be used and what is not usable for the battlefield must be destroyed!
My heart hurts how much money is lost!
Pension salaries... ! Who are the thieves??
The IDF excels in negligence,
and contempt
Not related to the reform
I don't understand how something like this was stolen from a designated IDF parking lot. There is no security? You put a Hezbollah jeep with a missile launcher on it and it can be stolen without any hindrance? After all, it would have been used by Hamas in the Gaza Strip against our soldiers. The vehicle should be destroyed in the first place. Lucky for vigilant citizens. This case is incomprehensible and requires a serious and comprehensive investigation.
Without legal reform and the worsening of punishment, the country is completely rotten from the inside
Israel police without teeth, crime runs rampant unhindered.
How was it stolen? How did they know about it? It is possible that only builders that the army puts into the bases see and take pictures and aim at the terrorists or were intended against us. It is enough for Bagtech that every worker who enters the bases the background of his worker, the Shin Bet must be active in the world and know where each one comes from and his personal background. There was a case where an employee of the contractor tried to kill soldiers. So don't be careless. Soldiers will kill only because of negligence. The case is very serious. Well done that the guests were alert.
It seems to me that they must have tried to smuggle it into the PA's territory
To treat the two thieves as terrorists is a no-brainer for everything. They are a rotten and moldy product of the fringes of an Arab society with Hamas/Hezbollah values that would use this vehicle for an attack or extortion. One way or another, terrorists of the worst kind are duly punished
How do you manage to steal something from the IDF? How, how, how? Where is the security? Where?
