Kiryat Bialik held an evening of communion and singing in memory of the martyrs of the Iron Swords War and a prayer for the return of the abducted and for the peace of our soldiers.
On Sunday 27/10/2024, a moving community ceremony was held in Kiryat Bialik to mark the anniversary of the October 7 massacre. The municipality held an evening of communion and singing in memory of the martyrs of the Iron Swords War, a prayer for the return of the abducted and for the peace of the IDF soldiers.
In a moving occasion, the youth sang the memory of the heroes of the city: Major Ariel Ben Moshe, Sgt. Noa Englander who was murdered at a Nova Barai party. The ceremony was held in the presence of the parents of the late Sergeant Yosef Dassa and the residents of the city.
Mayor of Kiryat Bialik, Eli Dukorski:
Tonight we gather as a united community to remember our loved ones who fell in defense of the homeland. Each of them was a world in its own right, and the story of their heroism will continue to accompany us forever. We hug the bereaved families and pray for the speedy return of our citizen Matan Angrest, who has been held captive by Hamas for 387 days. Kiryat Bialik will not be quiet until he returns home.
The large crowd that filled the Eshkol Hafis hall did not remain indifferent. When the song "Atzelano Bagan" was played, performed by the youth, many eyes teared up. The especially exciting moment happened while watching the dance to the song "I'm coming home" performed by Kiryat Bialik's artistic gymnastics team. The girls danced with the yellow scarves that symbolize the abductees and a call for their release.
