Rescue of trapped people from a burning apartment

Firefighting and rescue was handed over to Hai Pa

A little while ago, a message was received at the Israel Fire and Rescue Command about a fire on the second floor out of four in a residential building on Weizman Street in Kiryat Yam.

Six teams under the command of the shift commander Rabbi Reshef Eran Weizman rescued five trapped people and a dog from the building which was surrounded by thick black smoke as a result of the fire in one of the apartments.

Later, the firefighters carried out a final extinguishment and searched all the apartments to rule out any more trapped people.
Two of the trapped were evacuated in a minor condition by the medical forces.
